Gerbera Daisy Box

This is the red and black box with a gerbera daisy that I made for the youngest dd.

The daisies are colored with copics and have some stickles for highlights. The papers are from bo bunny and basic grey. The gerbera daisy is from the angel company. The outside is covered with a high gloss varnish on it to seal it. There nail head stickers and pearls and tiny red rhinestones. Here's a close-up.

And the inside.

I have an ideas for a couple more so be on the look out.

Tiger box

I wanted to get this box done for Christmas but ran out of time. I will have to give it to my son-in-law next time I see him. I also want to get some done for my daughters.

The tiger is from the angel company. I just love him. He is so regal looking. The dp is from basic grey.
Here is the inside.

It is to put two decks of cards in. I already gave my son-in-law the cards but didn't tell him about the box that was coming - just in case it took me a while to get to it. The box itself is a wooden cigar box.I did another box for Stamper's Quest and it has more detailed instructions here.
Off to work on the next box. See you soon.

Drummer Boy

I like the song "Little Drummer Boy" and this card goes right along with it.

This is a digi stamp from http://www.mosdigitalpencil.com/ . He is all colored with copics. I tried to tone down some of the colors by coloring over the bright ones with C1. It did help some even though they are still pretty bright. The snow is shaved ice from Stampendous!. The corner punch is from EK Success. Added some baker's twine and a charm. This card is going to a family whose son and husband play the drums at our church.

Reading Fairy

I did this card for a challenge here that is already closed. Oh well. When I first saw it I wasn't going to do it because I don't do funny colored hair until I saw a fairy and knew that would work. So here is my entry that isn't an entry.
This is a digi stamp from Elizabeth O.Dulemba here. She is all colored in copics. The paper is digi from basic grey. Some ribbon and flowers and a few dew drops make this creation complete.

Inspiration Challenge

I finally got my inspiration challenge done - several days late. Here is the picture -

And here is the card I made.

The set is called apple of my eye from the angel company. And there is good news - the company has been bought so some of these sets may be coming back! Yeah!
She is colored with copics. The apples are popped with foam tape and have diamond glaze on them - which by the way isn't quite dry but couldn't wait any longer to take the picture. Patience isn't always my best virtue. lol The flowers have stickles in the center. The green swirl is from memory box. The dp's are just some scraps I found in my stash and don't know who they all belong to. Hope you enjoy this little sweetie. I think she will go to my dd to encourage her during finals next week.

Iridescent Nativity

A woman at church who plans the decorations at church says some year she wants to do the church in black and iridescent. I can't quite image it but this card is for her.
This is more silver than iridescent but there is some of that in this card. It is the same card as here just a variation on the colors. This one has stickles all around the edges and in the swirls. Here is another view.
The stamp is from Stampendous!

Book Challenge

I belong to an on-line book club, Book Endz here. This month our book was Emily and Einstein. What a great book.  It might be my favorite of the books that we read so far. We are supposed to do a project to go along with the book so this is what I came up with.

The dog is from Magnolia. He has a butterfly that goes with him but I left the butterfly off because it didn't really seem to go with the book at all. He, because it is a man/dog, is colored with copics. The words and the circle are from the angel company. The dp is from basic grey. The ribbon is tied with iridescent twine. I love the paw print twill tape at the bottom. I have it in cooking motif and ruler measurements as well.  I used my nestabilities to cut out the  scalloped ovals. Hope you enjoy the card. I know you would enjoy the book, Emily and Einstein by Linda Francis Lee.

Inspiration Challenge

Let's see first thing the inspiration.

I love golds so this just seemed to speak to me. Can you imagine what it must have been like for Mary to be pregnant and riding all the way to Bethlehem on a donkey's back. I can think of  a lot of other things I would rather do. But God was gracious and brought them there safely.
Now for my card.
Really a pretty simple card. Stamped - I did color the image a bit with pencil where the ink didn't cover real well. I outlined it the figures with YR21 and YR20 then added some crystal stickles to the star. The gold fiber is from see spot save at Target many years ago and the black fiber is even older. Something I got while in college. I was taking a fibers class and we went to a carpet manufacture and bought ends to use in our class. That's about it.
Next week I will see if I can figure out how to do Mr. Linky so you can add your creations.

Magnolia-licious Christmas Blog Hop All Year Long November

It is late on Thanksgiving and I almost forgot to post my card. I am getting tired. Long day of cooking something I don't do too much of any more.  Any way if you are here from Norma's fabulous blog here you are on the right track.
This is done with a mini Tilda from Magnolia-lious here. Diana is having a fabulous sale on these little cuties right now so run do not walk and get your very own. This Tilda is called Tilda with Winter flowers. Isn't she just the sweetest. She is colored with copics. The dps are from basic grey. The snowflakes are punched and then run through the xyron 150 and sprinkled with glitter. Each snowflake as a rhinestone in the middle. The holly is a die cut from memory box and have rhinestones around them. Here is the inside.

Once again the dp is from basic grey with one more glittered snowflake. Hope you enjoyed. Your next stop is Robyn's blog here.http://robinroom.blogspot.com If you want to start at the beginning go here http://magnolia-liciouschristmasallyearlong.blogspot.com/

Hope your Thanksgiving was blessed and that the coming Christmas season is filled with joy and the love of Christ - the reason for the season.

Mountain Scene

I bought this set from the angel company before it went under and had never used it. Tonight it had its initiation.
This is colored mostly with distress ink. The rocks and trees have a bit of water color crayons on them. I discovered that distress inks don't work like regular water color paints. I took a water color class this summer and the paints move a lot more after they dry and then are wet again. The distress inks stay put when dry. Not that that is bad just something to take into consideration when you are painting with them. There is a little bit of stickles on the water. The baker's twine is tied onto the button. Pretty simple. It is for a college kid at church.

My challenge

I am an owner of a yahoo group called createacard. Today I gave them a challenge to use this picture to inspire them to make a card.
Here is the card I came up with.

I stamped the image onto white card stock using metallic silver and embossed it with silver pearl embossing powder. Next I used a red marvey dye ink and went all over the image and then turned it upside down and rubbed the ink off the embossing onto a scrap piece of paper.  Next I used a small make-up sponge and adirondack cranberry ink and went over the bottom part of the image. Once again I turned it over to rub off the extra ink. I sewed the image to the white and then tied a bow around the top. The I used a small piece of sparkly white twine to tie the wreath onto the bow. I adhered the layer to the card. The dots in the center of the poinsettia are done with liquid pearls. Oh the poinsettia image is from magenta and stamped twice one a little higher than the other. Hope you enjoy. If you are inspired by this picture I would love to see what you create. Just let me know in the message and I will stop by your blog and see what you create.

Pearly Angel

Got another card in before the big bathroom project starts. I did do a "little" work in there tonight before I had to go help at choir practice. I don't sing in the choir as my voice is best heard between me and the Lord. lol He gave me this voice so he must like it. No one else does.

I love this little angel. I even have her in the regular size. She is colored with copics. There are star dust stickles on the stars and frosted lace stickles on her wings. The holly border is a die cut from memory box. The flowers are a die cut from my favorite stamps. The flowers are cut out of DCWV card stock, sanded and then white chalk ink applied over it so that it would be lighter than the same paper around the angel. The pearls are done with liquid pearl. Peach is a rather unusual Christmas color but I think it turned out pretty. But just like any mother I am rather prejudice.
I think I am off to bed now. I stayed up too late last night texting a friend and then had to get up early this morning. My book and bed are calling my name.

Cookie Tilda

I'm likely to have to quit making cards shortly because we just bought stuff to start redoing the bathroom. It needs done but I would rather make cards. lol

Isn't Tilda cute. She looks like she might be waiting to see Santa and to give him some cookies. Tilda is colored with copics. Her bow and the cookies have diamond glaze on them. Oh btw I use my Xyron 150 to make these mini Tildas stick on the card. The tree is a die cut from making memories. In the middle of the flowers is gold stickles. The dp is from making memories. The poinsettia is from Hero Arts, I think. The gold dew drops are from Robin's Nest. Happy crafting to you!

Holly Tilda

I'm still rolling along with these mini Tilda. Here is another one.

Isn't she so sweet with her garland of ivy. Tilda is colored with copics. Her sleeves have a touch of stardust stickles. The holly and berries are a stamp from the angel company. The holly has diamond glaze and the berries are red stickles. The dp is from making memories as are the die cut swirls. The card is a gatefold. Time for me to go to bed. I have to walk to work tomorrow as my son is taking my car to work. (His is getting inspected and he has to be at work at 6 am.) Have a great evening.

Tilda in Wreath

I really should be mass producing some Christmas cards but I am having way too much fun with these mini Tilda's. So here is today's mini.
I just love teddy bears so I knew I had to have this stamp. I got her all colored and then couldn't figure out what to do with a pink Tilda and Christmas. I remembered this ribbon and had to search for it. I really should be more organized. Then I knew I had this dp but what should Tilda sit on. Sitting Tilda's just need something to sit on.  I was blog hopping and saw a wreath and then I knew. This wreath is from an old angel company stamp set. I added pink stickles all around the wreath and a some star dust stickles on the bottom of Tilda's dress. As I was punching the corners my punch broke. Oh boy what now. I had to stick my scissors in there for a lever to do the punching. When I was done the punch went in the garbage. Some silver and pink dew drops are in the corners and some pieces of pearls on a string are coming out of the ribbon. Hope you enjoy and are working faster on your Christmas cards than I am.  lol

Cross Stitch Heart Tilda

I am still on a roll with the minis. Just loving them. I didn't think I would like them as well as the full size but I am quickly changing my mind. Here is Tilda with Cross Stitch Heart.
She reminds me of the chorus at church - This Little Light of Mine I'm goin' let it shine shine til Jesus comes. She is colored with copics. That is another thing I am surprised how well theses minis color with copics. The circles are done with nestabilites. The dp is from making memories. The little squares were from pez-a-doodle which went out of business. I have never seen them any where else. The swirly sticks I did myself. Here is a close-up.
I took a flower soft wire and wrapped it around the end of a paint brush and the pulled it off and stuck it in some glue. Next I put some sand colored flower soft in a little plastic box with the swirled wire and shook it around so that the entire wire was covered. For the reddish one I used polar white flower soft and colored it with a few drops of cranberry alcohol ink. The heart over the bow was from Target. I got those along time ago.

Hope you enjoyed today's mini. Thank you for all the sweet comments.

Snowy Hugs

I am still working on using my mini stamps. Here is today's card.

The tree is an angel company stamp. Of course you can't get it any more but any large tree without leaves would work. I just like the curly branches on this one. This is a mini snowy hug for Tilda and Snowy. Everything is colored with copics. The snow is done with fun flock and star dust stickles. The pompoms and the trim on Tilda's hat is done with liquid applique. If you have ever teach kids about stamping this is one technique they love. They just think it is so cool to watch the liquid applique to puff up. The grey dp is from making memories. I punched out three snowflakes and added some sparkly white twine and tied it into a big bow. There you have it. Maybe I can make another mini card today.  lol

Midwinter Tilda

I got a bunch more mini Tilda's today. Oh I can see lots more fun in my future.

I would call this Tilda lantern Tilda but her name is midwinter. Oh well. She is colored with copics. I drew the tree. I haven't really drawn much for years so this is fun for me as well. I am not an artist but I do like to draw. I guess with the kids gone I have more time to do some other things. The snow is done with fun flock and scribbles paint. The lantern light and star at the top of the tree have stickles. The snowflake is covered with glitter. I poked holes in it and but the glittery string through it and tied it to the ribbon. There are glitter candy dots on the side. The dp is from basic grey. Hope you are enjoying my mini Tilda series as much as I am enjoying making them.

Letter Tilda

I'm on a roll with these minis. Here is my next one. I may get my Christmas cards done this way too.

I don't remember Tilda's name, maybe Letter Tilda? Any way she is colored with copics. I drew the bench and the little hollies around the bench with the curliques.  The dp is from basic grey. I wrapped some butchers twine around and then fastened it with a button and red scrapper's floss. I wasn't sure what I thought of these minis after using the big ones but I am really liking then. You don't have to make a big card all the time.

Caroling Tilda

I promised more mini Tilda's so here's one.

I used the house from an old tac set and added shaved ice from stampendous for the snow. Everything is colored with copics. I used a die from nestabilities and then stenciled the circles with white ink. Tilda is cut out and she has liquid applique on her outfit. The snowflakes were punched out, run through a xyron machine,  sprinkled with glitter and then a blue rhinestone is in the middle. A couple of red nailhead stickers are in the opposite corners. The dp is from memory box. Hope you enjoy.

Mini Spanish Tilda

I got a bunch of mini Tilda's a while back and hadn't used any of them. I am trying to change that. Here is the first one I did using Spanish Tilda.

Because I used RV69, RV66 and RV63 for the fan, the flower and the lace on the shoes I had some difficulty finding paper that matched but in the end I am pleased with the results. The dress is done with G20's. I cut the scalloped rectangle using nestabilities and used a white pen to make the dots. I added color to the flowers using the same RV copics. There are yellow stickles in the center of the flowers. Stardust stickles are on the fan and lace. The shoes have diamond glaze on them. I had pulled out the swirl clip to see if it would go. I had set it aside and then after I put the flowers in the corner I just put it where it is to try it out and thought Yes I like it there. There are dew drop pearls in the corner.

I know how busy everyone is and I really appreciate it when you take time to leave comments. They really make my day.
Enjoy!

Edwin & Tilda Elope

My dd and her finance eloped a couple of weeks ago. Although I was sad I couldn't be at the wedding, I am happy for them. They are coming over tomorrow so I will give them some gifts and this card.
Kaitey carried a bouquet with red, yellow and bluish/purple flowers so I tried to use that color scheme. The yellow flowers were off-white but I colored them with copics. The red roses were already red. I cut out the hearts with a nestabilities and then made the white dots with a white pen. The swirls are done with a memory box die. Tilda's dress is covered with frosted lace stickles. At first I was just going to do the lace at the neckline, then some highlights on the dress and pretty soon I went for the whole dress. I tied the flowers with the iridescent cording and the bow at the bottom. Added some mini dew drops all around.
Thanks for visiting. I really appreciate your comments.

Covered Bridge

I haven't made too many fall cards and I just love fall and all the colors. I got to play a bit before I have to go to work and I decided I really needed to make a fall card.

This stamp is from stubby stampers. We used to have a covered bridge near the town I grew up in until an arsonist decided we shouldn't. Made me so sad. I have fond memories of sitting inside the bridge at night. Crazy kids we were. lol
This is colored with copics except the fence which I used a prisma color pencil. I can't make those tiny, tiny lines with copics very well. There are some stickles on the water. Ran some DCWV paper through the dotted embossing folder and then sanded them. I don't know who did the dp. The swirl is a die cut from memory box. And some tiny dew drops are in the corner. I hung the heart swirl from a piece of ribbon and attached it with some scor-tape.
You could make this image into a summer card or spring card as well. Couldn't you see kids jumping into the water. Brr! It's too cold right now but in the summer.
Now off to get ready for work. I would much rather stay home and play more. I should be thankful I have a job. lol
I'm using this as my entry for the BookEndz book club here. We are reading the book The Mercy of Thin Air. I certainly would not have picked this book on my own. Some of it I like and some of it I don't but sometimes it is good to read something out of your comfort zone.

Golfing with Edwin

I did a card that was similar to this a little while ago but can't let a good idea go to waste. lol

This is golfing Tilda  with cool Edwin's head. The pants, shirt and shoes are all paper pieced with Olivia from basic grey. The rest is colored with copics. The die cut paper is from memory box. I tried adding clouds to it with white ink but it didn't work so I just lightened the paper with the white. The edges are done with charcoal palette ink. The tee and ball are from the angel company. Added some green ribbon and frayed the edges.
Hope you enjoy.
I'm entering this in the Anything Goes Challenge at Simon Says here.

Magnolia-licious Christmas All Year Long Blog Hop - October

Been a while since we had a Magnolia-licous Christmas All Year Log Blog Hop. We took the summer off but whoops now it is fall and Christmas is fast approaching. Got to get on the stick.
If you came from Nadyne's blog here you are on the right track, if not you might want to start at the beginning here. Now to show you my creation.

Tilda is colored with distress inks. I took a watercolor class this summer and it helped some with this technique but I sure need a lot more practice. I hadn't done any watercoloring since I took the class. Maybe some day I will share what I did in the class. The swirl is a die cut from memory box. I added flowers and stars plus some ribbons. Lots of stickles - yellow, gold and stardust,  are added as well. The dp is from basic grey. Next on your stop is Robyn's blog here.

Hope you enjoy your journey and be sure to leave lots of comments along the way. Comments really help us improve and make our day when they are compliments. lol

Fishers of Men

This stamp is one I hadn't used before from the angel company. I am still sad they went under. Oh well there are lots of other good stamps out there.

This was really hard to photograph because of the shiny paper. It was stamped with ink from the angel company and then the brayer was run over it using a kalidescope ink pad. The little flowers are colored iwth copics. The "stars" in the corner are cut out with a memory box die which is really supposed to be snowflakes but I thought it worked as stars as well. The paper over the card is a mulberry paper with gold threads running through it. Stamped the ribbon and put it through a circle clip. I love those things.

Be fabulous x 3

I got done mowing the lawn as far as I could til dark over took me and the lawn mower ran out of gas. It is much more fun to stamp so that is what I came in and did. Here is what I made.

The stamps are from the angel company. I colored the three flowers different colors using copics. The bee is colored with copics and everything has highlights of stickles. It is so hard to make a card with out some glitter. The dp is from basic grey. I drew in the flight of the bumblebee. And that's it. Pretty simple.

Hola Hoop Tilda

I admit it I was being bad during church today. My mind was wandering a bit and thinking of making this card. The sermon was good though and I did get something out of it. We need to remember when someone is sinning to temper any discipline we need to give with love. That can be so hard. Well you didn't come here to be preached to and I am no preacher. So here is the card I made.

Tilda is colored with copics. What I was thinking about was adding glitter to Tilda's hola hoop. So many of today's hola hoops have glitter in them. I also added glitter to her shoes and to her hair bands and the lace on her outfit. I distressed the edges and added some organish chalk ink to the edges. The leaves were from the see spot save section at Target. They were plain so I added some veins to them with copic markers. The flowers were some I got from the angel company a while ago but there is no markings on them so I don't know where they came from. I added a bow and button wrapped with Scrapper's floss. I had actually made the base of this card over a year ago and then didn't use it. I think the dp's are from basic grey and bo bunny.
I made this card for a couple of challenges.

Maybe you can get out and use your hola hoop in this beautiful fall weather lol or not.

Soccer Edwin

My it has been a while since I played with my Maggies. I have been busy doing submissions for Stamper's Quest. Can't wait to share with you some of those projects. But not just yet. A kid that works at Target is having a birthday tomorrow. I chose this Edwin because I hadn't used him yet.

Edwin had to be dressed in red and khaki because of course that is what we have to wear when we work at Target. Edwin is colored with copics. The dp is from the craft's meow. Notice the ribbon - it is from Target. I think it was tied around some pencils I got for opening up a red card (credit card) for someone. I saved it. I knew I would want it some time. lol The little soccer balls on the side were some I got from the see spot save section of Target quite a while ago - another thing I knew I would want some day.

Here is what I wrote on the inside. These soccer balls were some I cut out from Edwin's that didn't quite stamp right.
Hope you enjoy.

You're beautiful

I love fuchsias. I can't say that I took very good care of mine this year but I do love them. SO when I saw this stamp set I knew I had to have it. Here is what I created.
The stamp is from the set Celebrating You from the Craft's Meow. It is colored with copics. The dp is from basic grey. I used a fiskars border punch for the top and bottom and then added some half pearls along the edge. The butterfly is from my dd's stash of hair things. It doesn't look like she had ever used it. I did this card for an on-line book club, Color Me Creative Book Endz, I belong to. We read the Language of flowers. Fuchsia means humble love. Here is the link if you would like to see the other creations or read the next book, The Mercy of Thin Air. LINK
This is also done for the open challenge at flutterby Wednesdays here.
Hope you enjoy.

Tilda with bunny

Here is a card I did quite a while ago that I would like to share now. The top, bow and shoe are paper pieced. The swirl is made with a Tim Holtz die. The flower is felt and sprayed with a cherry spray. My mind has gone and I can't remember what is called and my cat is keeping my lap warm. lol. The scalloped bottom is done with punched circles all in a row.
Hope you enjoy.

Cellar Door

Come slide down my cellar door and we'll be jolly friends forever more. Do you remember the song? Isn't Tilda just the jolliest. Here she is at the cellar door.

Tilda and her cellar door are colored with copics. The flower centers have yellow stickles. There is silver stickles on the watering can and the shovel. Then just a few stickles are on the bottom of the apron and on the shoes and shoe laces. Tilda's dress is paper pieced - just the sleeves and the bottom. The dp is from oliva by basic grey. She is popped with foam tape. The flowers are from prima flowers. The ribbon is from my stash. Have a great day.

Cool Edwin

I always need guy cards and never seem to have any in my stash. Why is that? lol Well here is another Edwin. This time I hadn't used these two Maggies so got to play with new stamps.

Doesn't he look cool? Edwin and most of the car are colored with copics. The metal and lights are colored with twinkling H2O's. The seats are done with a white souffle pen. That doesn't show up very well even in real life. The car has a thin layer of diamond glaze on it. The dp is from a Christmas basic grey collection. The grass is two layers of die cuts from my favorite stamps. Edwin is popped up with foam tape.  I saw someone else use this Edwin and car together and knew I had to have them. I'm sorry I don't remember who it was.
I'm entering this in the Magnolia stamp lovers primary colors  challenge here.

Give Edwin a Hug

I needed to play with my Maggies again. It has been a while. I still have several that haven't seen ink and this isn't one of them. Oh well lots more fun for another day.

Edwin is colored with copics. His vest and all the dp are from basic grey's ambrosia collection. I was looking for a small plaid for his vest when I came across this paper and thought it would look great for a vest. The buttons are a die cut from memory box and have diamond glaze applied. The two corner dp's are a die cut with an inverted scallop from nestabilites.
Have a great day.

Beary Happy Day

I had to make a card for a little one year old boy. Here is what I came up with.

I used a very old tac stamp. Isn't this bear just the cutest. I don't even know what set he is from that is how old a stamp it is. He is colored with copics. The dp is from color me silly by basic grey. The center pulls out and can be used as a bookmark.  Hope you enjoy.

Butterfly Kisses

I got my order from the craft's meow here. I got several new nina b. designs stamps and just couldn't wait to use this one. It is way out of the ordinary of what I usually like but a little spice never hurts.

First I stamped the butterflies with a light pink chalk ink all over and then stamped the fairy image over top using gingerbread chalk ink.  Stamped the words using burnt umber palette ink. Applied the edges with petunia pink chalk ink and some more of the gingerbread. I outlined the image and the wings with a glitter gelly roll pen and then tried to add just an eye. Well then she looked like an alien. What to do - I colored the whole image with the glitter pen and liked it oh so much better than with just the ink. I put two different flower soft colors on the flower that she is blowing. The flower stem was done a green souffle pen. The two butterflies are stamped with the petunia pink ink and cut out. The pink border was done by using a butterfly border die from memory box. I cut two butterfly borders out and the middle piece is what I used for the border. The dp is from basic grey. The ribbon is from the see spot save section at Target. A few pearls and the card is complete.
Here is the inside and you can see the butterfly border.

Hope you enjoy.

Beautiful Shelf

I love this set from Nina B, now retired from the angel company. This is the first chance I have had to use it.
I have ordered some more of her stamps from another company, Cat's Meow here. Can't wait to get them.

I masked the doily and then stamped the dresser. The vase is glued on top. Everything is colored with copics. The dp is capella from basic grey. The butterflies are punched with a Martha Stewart punch with some gold stickles for the body. The flowers are from prima with yellow stickles for the centers. I was at Target thinking about this card and decided it needed more depth so I came home and added the flowers. Hope you enjoy.
