Tilda with Peony

My dd and her boyfriend left yesterday so the house is quiet again so I am creating when I should be doing housework. But it's too hot to do that.
I tried to do a different layout. I seem to do the same thing over and over again if I don't have a sketch.  The ovals were cut out with nestabilites and then holes punched in each scallop. Afterward I edged each oval with chalk ink. The edges of the square paper were distressed. I doodled the white around the edge of the turquoise. The butterfly was given to me in a swap. Isn't it great. I would love to find that punch.  An organza bow is tied and placed where there is a lot of white. Pearls grace the one corner and the butterfly body.
This card was done for the butterfly challenge over on Flutter by Wednesday here.

Magnolia-licious Christmas All Year Long Blog Hop

It's time for the monthly magnolia-licious Christmas blog hop.If you have come from Marcia's blog you are on the right path. If you have happened here please go to here to find the beginning so you won't miss any of these great cards.  I love Christmas and Christmas cards unfortunately it is so hard to get all my Christmas cards done when things get so busy so it's great to do some now.  Diana at Magnolia-licious here gave out this great stamp for a gift if you purchased so much. It is out of stock now but my understanding is that it will be in this year's Christmas collection. Here is my card using Tilda with a violin.
Isn't she just adorable.  Tilda is colored with copics. The die is a fleur-de-lis shapeabilities. I had the worse time trying to get a good cut with it. I don't know if it was just my die or if I needed another layer or what but I had to take an xacto knife and cut out some of the shapes. I glued the shapes from the gold fleur-de-lis onto the white one. I stamped Tilda on the white and then stippled around the shape with the Aspen Mist and Pretty Petunia Versa Magic Chalk ink. Actually I used a stencil brush because the cats carried away my stipple brush and haven't returned it.  Then I colored and cut out another Tilda and popped her up on foam tape. I put white ink all over her dress and the some stickles over the ink. The wings have stickles on them also. Tilda's shoes and violin have diamond glaze on them. The poinsettia is from hero arts. I'm not sure where the green leaves underneath are from. The edges are all distressed and the green is sewn down. The ribbon is some silk ribbon and there is a gold dew drop and a cherry dew drop in the corner.

Romantic Tilda

Seems like I have been so busy. Last weekend we had my dd's graduation party. Then this week as been so hot I haven't been motivated to do anything and the next couple of days will be even hotter. Should have done things while it was "cool". It has been so hot I haven't even wanted to stamp. That is hot. But I have to stamp a couple of cards today before my eldest dd comes for a visit tomorrow. Can't wait to see her.
Isn't Tilda just the prettiest little thing with her parasol. I just had to get her. She is colored with prisma color pencils and OMS. The edging is done with a retired deco designs stamp set from the angel company with chalk ink. Then I did some stippling with yellow chalk ink to done down the white just a bit. The dp is two scoops by basic grey. I did some random stitching around the edges. The flower is colored with the chalk ink also. Of course I had to add some stickles around Tilda's dress, hat and parasol. All for a fresh vintage look. I did this card for the Just Magnolia stamp challenger vintage here
For the layout I did a take off of one Suzanne Dean did here.
Hope you enjoy this little sweetie.

Bride Tilda - only not a bride

I talked to my eldest dd the other day and asked her what she wanted for her birthday and she said she wanted a wedding fund. She isn't engaged but thinks it may be coming. So I decided that I would use one of the wedding collection Tilda's for her card. Maybe Tilda is waiting to be asked by Edwin on her birthday.

Obviously I didn't color Tilda as a bride but who says she has to be a bride. She can just be a pretty girl all dressed up. My girls tend to like to dress up. She is all colored in copics. The earrings are done with Scribbles white mist. Emily likes pearls better than diamonds so I thought Tilda ought to have pearl earrings. Of course I had to put lots of stickles around the flowers. The butterfly is from the angel company and stamped on patterned paper and then colored a bit with copics and then stickles.  The paper is from sultry by basic grey.  The tags are punched and held together with a brad. In the opposite corner are pearl dew drops.

Midsummer Tilda

I can't believe it has been so long since I posted. Actually I can't believe it has been so long since I stamped. My dd and I have been doing a Jane Austen film festival and I have been knitting while watching. I love Jane Austen. Also it has been so hot I haven't wanted to do anything even stamp. It was supposed to get cooler today but I don't think it has.
Here is the card I managed to make the last couple of days.

I love summer mornings like this. Isn't Tilda just so sweet dancing. Everything is colored with copics. I was keeping all the markers out and then all of a sudden there got to be so  many that I had to put them away before I wrote them all down. Tilda is popped up with foam tape. The one mushroom was stamped and cut out and glued on top of the ribbon. The swirl is from the angel company. The little flowers are also but they were discontinued a long time ago. I rarely use them but they just popped out at me this morning and said use me on this card.  Lots of stickles. My dd commented on how sparkly the card is. I said I'm just like a little kid and love sparkles. Her comment back was that yes but at least I used them a little more tastefully.
The dp is from a basic grey collection. It is too hot for me to get up and check which one. Lazy. lol.
Hope you enjoy her.
