Tilda with Gifts

I was so fortunate as to win this stamp from a scene challenge by Magnolia Stamp Lovers. Cindy quickly sent me this Tilda with Gifts. Can't ask for more - a free stamp with super service. Thank you so much. I tried to be super quick and make a card with this sweetie.
I love pink and so thought I would make her up in pink. Tilda is colored with copics. Tilda and the presents both have some stickles. To make Tilda a bit softer I stamped her with burnt umber palette ink. Tilda is popped with foam tape. The words are from an old stamp set by the angel company. The dp is from the bitter sweet paper collection by basic grey. The glitter rickrack is from Target's see spot save section. The heart ribbon is some I got from my lss. The hearts and pearls are from here. I saw someone else who had laid out the oval nestabilities and Tilda this way but I can't remember whose blog I saw it on. The flowers are from my stash. Here is a list of the copics used. I am not quite sure if I have the proper colors with the proper elements. Sometimes I get to playing and don't remember exactly what I did.

Sweet Tilda

I just love Sweet Tilda and have had her for a couple of weeks but this is the first chance I have had to ink her up.

Tilda is colored with Distress inks. I got a distress on Monday and did the edges with it. My local stamp store had and electric distress but at $41.00 I thought I might try the $4.00 manual one to see how I like the look. I do but still don't know that I need an electric one. I said the same thing about copics and now I have nearly 100. Ooh I just figured out how much money that is. Ouch! But I love them. Anyway back to this sweetie. She is stamped with burnt umber palette hybrid ink pad.  Stickles are applied to the lace, bottom edge, sleeve cuffs and a couple of other places. Gotta have sparkle. The shoes have diamond glaze on them. The flowers in the grass are embroidered French knots. The dp is infuse by basic grey. The ribbon is some I have had for quite some time. It's almost gone now though. The "sewn" edges are done with a coffee scroll & brush marker.
Ink colors used:
shadow - tumbled glass
grass - peeled paint
cheeks - spun sugar
hair - brushed corduroy, scattered straw
face - tattered rose
dress - barn door
I did this card to enter the spectacular Sunday challenge to have some sewing - real or fake. I figure this has both.
Thanks for leaving comments they really make my day.

The poinsettias are also a Magnolia  stamp. The dp (decorative paper) is from basic grey. The little snowflakes are from hero arts. The big snowflake is a brad from making memories. It is colored with blue and purple marvy inks with a rhinestone from Queen & Co. The dark purple paper is cut with fiskars Victorian decorative scissors.  Lots of stickles are all over the images. The boots have a layer of diamond glaze on them. The trim of Tilda's coat is done with fun flock.

Happy Tilda

I should have been working on my Holiday Wednesday card but I had this Tilda made and she kept calling to me to finish her. Maybe I'll get to my Holiday card tomorrow or maybe I'll take a week off who knows.

Can't you see just how happy she is running through the flowers. Tilda is colored with copics but her clothes are paper pieced and then shaded with copics. The flowers and grass are stamped with distress ink and then lightly wet so the ink would spread just a touch.  The dp is two scoops from basic grey. The paper flowers centers' are done with glitter glue and e-beads. The flower sun is done with grosgrain ribbon, a button and scrapper's floss. Tilda's lace has stickles applied as does her neckline. The lace behind Tilda is from making memories.

Dangling Tilda

I guess I feel a bit like I am dangling tonight. My ds came home from being away for 2 1/2 months this week and then went away for the weekend and now is gone to boy scout camp to work. I'm blue - so I made a pink card to cheer me up.

I think this dangling Tilda from the raising the ceiling collection is so cute. She is colored all in copics with a touch of stickles around the lace and the yoke of her top. Punched holes and inserted eyelets and then the  tied a ribbon for her to hang from. I stamped another hand and glued that over the ribbon. There is a circle charm in the lower corner that has a circle of dp applied to it and then a flower charm on top of that.  Some pearl embellishments on the top corner and a couple of pink dew drops on the bottom. The black dp is from the black tie basic grey collection which is unfortunately retired. The pink dp is from the bittersweet collection by basic grey. The ribbon is from making memories.
Copics used:
Skin E50, E11, E00
Cheeks R20
Top RV 34, R85, RV21, RV23, RV02
Hair E77, E57, E53
Pants W7, W5, W3, W1, 0
Basket E53, E50
Outline BG10, B01

Hope you enjoy! Your comments are always a pleasure to read.

Springtime

I was beginning to think I couldn't stamp with anything but Magnolia stamps but I ordered this stamp set from the angel company and thought it turned out cute. I may even use these stamps with a Tilda sometime.

The stamp set is called spring time. The paper, called More Mimi is from the angel company also. I liked it in the catalog but really fell in love with it after I opened it.  All the paper in the set is double sided.
First I stamped the bunnies and masked them and then stamped the birdhouse. I colored everything with copics. I must have had 20 different markers out. I stamped the bunnies again on a scrap piece of paper, colored them with W-1 and a light pink (don't remember the number) and then went over everything with the blender pend. The tails have fun flock on them. The flower have colored glitter on them and the centers have gold stickles. The dew drops are from the robin's nest.

I was recently awarded the Beautiful Blogger Award from Marsha. I am so honored.

Now I am supposed to tell ten things about myself.

Holiday Wednesday with a twist

I know, I know it isn't Valentine's Day but I have never showed this card before and I just haven't had time to do any other card what with taxes (a collective boo is quite alright). So without further ado here is my card.

The circle is a accucut circular die cut from Terryfic Times then woven with a gingham ribbon. The flower centers are from a broken pin my dd gave me just to use with my stamping - how well she knows me. lol
The buttons had their shanks cut off and then are colored with night sky versamagic chalk ink. The words are done on the computer. Tilda is colored with copics. The bow has angel wings shimmerz  paint. It is an easel card.

I know blue is an unusual Valentine's Day card but with the saying I thought it fit. Hope you enjoy.

Tilda with flowing hair

I am totally addicted to Magnolia stamps now. I have several more that I haven't even inked up yet. This is sad. I have MOD - Magnolia Obsessive Disorder. Here is my latest card.

Tilda is colored with copics. The basket has flower soft in it with a bit of glitter. The words are from a retired set from the angel company. The dp is from basic grey. Two different border punches from fiskars were used. The butterflies were punched out and have a bit of gold stickles for the bodies. The little hearts on the saying are holographic plastic from who knows where.  Pretty simple but I think she turned out cute.
This is for a couple of different challenges. One by Stampin' Sisters in Christ to do a card about peace and one by Spectacular Sunday Challenges to do a card using two different dp having dots on them.

Tilda Writing Diary

I just love this little Tilda writing in her diary. Reminds me of my oldest dd as she loves to write in hers. Tilda is stamped on watercolor paper with noir black palette ink and colored with distress inks. As I don't have any reinkers I use a brush some water and take the ink off the inkpad.  I used a white pen to make some highlights in her hair and on her clothes and also to do the doodles around the scalloped nestabilities. Prisma color pencils were used to make something for Tilda to sit on. The dp is from the sweet pea alyssa collection by basic grey. The edges are sewn with white thread. Brads were used do create the center of the flowers.  A bow and some pearl embellashments  finish off the card.

Holiday Wednesday

I love this stamp but always seem to have a hard time doing something I like with it - well I like this card. The stamp is a retired one from the angel company. I stamped it once on card stock coloring the nativity scene and another time on a scrap piece and cut that one out and the center of the "O" also, colored it and used foam tape to pop it. The glitter on the star is bananan transparent from the art glittering system, I don't know if they make it anymore. Around the edge is red line tape with the glitter on it. The letters have stickles applied to them. The red dp is from bo bunny, the green dp is from JoAnn's. The red pearls are from Queen & Co. The poinsettias are from Hero Arts, I think. And the gold in the center of the poinsettias are from robin's nest.

I made another card for a birthday today. It is for my girlfriend who always teases me about being older than she is - all of 9 months so I thought I would get her back a bit. It uses a magnolia Tilda stamp.

It is colored with copics. She is popped up with foam tape. Nestabilities were used to make the scalloped ovals - all three of them. the dp is from basic grey. The flowers have silver stickles for the centers. The words were printed from the computer.  A fiskars punch was used for the border. I glued hearts from the border in the center. And now for the inside to remind Kay of how old she really is.

Hope you enjoy.

Tilda in Jeans Bookmark Card

I saw this card made on this blog and wanted to try it out. The one thing that I did differently was to use a sewer's tracing wheel instead of the special tool that she used. Cut the paper 4 1/4" x 11". Score at 4 1/4" then on the other side score with the tracing wheel 2 1/2" in. You can either use the fiskars cutter to help with the measurements or just use a ruler and hold it tight. That's how I did it but then I tried the way mentioned in the blog and it really was easier. So here is the card and bookmark:

I used Tilda in jeans. She is sitting on a piece of paisley grosgrain ribbon. Tilda is colored with copics and her wings have stickles applied. The background is a raised  paisley done with a Cuttlebug perfectly paisley embossing folder. The buttons are tied with scrappers floss. The red paper is from basic grey. The little bow is tied with a narrow red organza ribbon.
Here is the inside with the bookmark ready to be detached.
The blue lines are done with a copic marker and then a 1/4" strip of the basic grey paper. The organza ribbon is stapled at the top so it can stick out of the page of the book you are reading. (I'm rereading the Hobbit just now). And then you can see the entire card/bookmark opened up:

Hope you enjoyed.
