Nellie

I've been cleaning my apartment instead of creating. I even went into my studio tonight with thoughts of doing some organizing but came out with this card instead.

The stamp is from Art Gone Wild and colored with copics.  The scallops are cut from Nestabilities by Spellbinders. The paper is from Lawn Fawn. The polka dot is washi tape from Queen and Co. I found it at the Container Store. The gray edging on the polka dots were cut with scissors. I wasn't sure if I could cut straight with them but I did ok. I would never have guessed they would carry such a thing. The gray and black brads are also from Queen and Company.
Elephants are about my favorite animal and I thought this one was really cute.

Indian Corn

Fall is my favorite season and it is coming VERY soon. Here in southwestern PA it is feeling more like early fall than summer.

The stamp is from http://www.stubbystampers.com/ It is colored with copics and then the some yellow Nuvo drops and copper Perlen-Pen added to the corn. The bow has diamond glaze on it. There are two pieces of scalloped paper around the image. The ribbon is actually two different ones. The plaid and then two pieces of silk ribbon on each side. A few pieces of yellow and gold sequins are around. The circle at the bottom is from a piece of jewelry that broke off. I got it in Germany when I was living there years and years ago.

What's your favorite season?

Merry and Bright

Christmas is coming soon. Way past time to make some Christmas cards so I can be ready.

The stamps are from Darcie. The poinsettia is stamped with white chalk ink on black paper and then colored with Prisma colored pencils. The center is done with yellow Nuvo drops. The leaves and holly are stamped on decorative paper. The little berries are red glitter glue. The saying is stamped with black and cut out with a sizzix die.  The white and red layer are cut out with sizzix nestabilities. (One of which is now behind my storage cabinet. Sigh!). The poinsettia paper and other red are bobunny two-sided paper.  The red burlap ribbon is from Target. They have such neat things in their dollar section. The poinsettia is popped up with a layer of foam tape and the "Merry & Bright" has two layers of foam tape.
Have you started your Christmas cards yet?

This Elephant is on the Ball

This elephant is having a ball and so am I - rolling along with another post.  I love elephants so here is an elephant card.

This is another Darcie stamp and button. The elephant is colored with copics. The head is cut out and popped up. The glitter tape is from Close to My Heart. The little brads I have had forever and I don't remember where they are from. The dp is from BoBunny, I think. My cat would not appreciate it if I got up and looked.

Have a ball today!

Wonder Woman

Two weekends ago I went to a stamp convention and spent way too much money. lol This is one of the stamps I bought.
The stamp is from Darcie. Almost all the stamps sets had these little buttons to cover the face or some other appropriate spot. Wonder Woman it is the face. The image is colored with copics. I tied red twine around the yellow card stock and added some star brads.
I bought several other stamps and buttons from this company that I will share later.
Remember...You are wonderful!

Monkeyin' Around

Wow it has been forever since I posted anything. I've been creating just not posting. I'll try to remedy that. Life just gets too busy with three jobs. So here is my first card in a long time...

The monkey is from Art Gone Wild and is colored with copics. The circle is a die cut from CreekBanks. The words are my own handwriting. I took one strand from a piece of jute and tied it in the button. I thought the monkey was perfect to go sliding and twirling around the slider circle. I used two layers of foam tape to make it high enough to accommodate the pennies a
on the back of the monkey. I used two pennies and a small piece of foam tape in between so the monkey could go round and round.
Hope your day is full of monkey business.

Lifesavers

I'm having fun today with my stamps.

I almost always use some sort of designer paper on my cards but this scalloped cardstock from DCWV just begged to be used and I wanted to keep the scallops the focal point with the round lives avers. They are colored with copics and have diamond glaze added. The blue specks around the live savers have stardust stickles. I added all the dots around the scallops to add a bit more interest. Maybe it's time to buy some Life Savers.

Sheltering Flower

I have been creating but I don't seem to get the cards posted on my blog. But here is one for today.

This house mouse is sheltering in his happy place - a flower. It is colored with copics and some diamond glaze on the rain drops. The dp is from basic grey. There are glittery candy dots in the four corners. It was a fun card to make. I found a sketch on pinterest and changed it a bit to fit the image. Sometimes you just need a bit of help to get the mojo moving in a different direction.
The first time I colored this I colored the tail as if it was part of the flower. lol

Bathing Hippo

This stamp is just too cute. I love elephants but hippos are a close second and this one just tickles me.

The image is colored with prisma colored pencils.  The bubbles have crystal stickles on them. The red die cut is from memory box and is a fence that I cut in half and framed the image with. The brads were from Target's Bulleye's playground years ago.
Hope you are having some clean fun.

Cheering

I so badly wanted to be a cheerleader when I was in high school. I loved my school but I have to say I don't have much in the way of athletic ability. I did try out every year but I never made the cheer squad. Probably for the best I would have hurt myself or someone else.So here is a card in memory of those days. I used my high school colors - red and gold. I still love that color combination.

The images are from Stubby Stampers and colored with prisma colored pencils. The megaphone has diamond glaze on it. The pompom has crystal stickles on it.
May your life lived out loud - have fun.

Dashing through the snow

We had a Kids Fest at my church on Friday and I volunteered to make cards with the kids. They were mostly boys so they didn't want to do it but at least I got another card done.
I have had this stamp forever. It really must be forever as I couldn't even find a picture of it on my computer. It is colored with prisma color pencils. I had a lot of fun getting the teddy bear to look like he has fur. The snow is made from liquid pearls. The snowflakes are from Target's Bullseye's Playground and then have crystal stickles added. The designer paper is from basic grey which is no longer making paper. :(
Have fun on snowy days.

Bathing Hippo

Boy has it been a long time since I posted anything. Live has just been so busy. I have created some just haven't posted anything. This card just tickled me pink so I had to share it.

The stamp is from Stubby Stampers and colored with get this - prisma color pencils.  I usually use copic markers but the pencils have been calling my name lately. The bubbles are done with liquid pears. The water has frosted lace stickles on it. The papers are from lots of different companies - basic grey, bo bunny, target. The tabs are from a die cut.
Check out the inside.
I love those words with this image. I just thought it was too funny. I know I have a weird sense of humor.
Hope you day is big and fun!
