Fall

I have two things to share on this cool fall evening.  I may have to turn on the heat soon. Don't want to do that though until I get the furnace checked.
First is a card with Tilda playing in the leaves.

She is colored with copics. The top I originally did with the V line and then realized it was too red for the paper and ribbon so I went over it with the BV line. I won't tell you how many colors I used in the hair until I got the coloring the way I wanted it. I couldn't tell you even if you wanted me to because I don't know. The dp is from the fusion line from basic grey. I love this paper but haven't used it in quite sometime. One year I used it for my Christmas cards. There are some stickles on the top and in the leaves. The flower is from Magnolicious. The ribbon I got from my lss. The dew drops are from Robin's nest. I made this card for the challenge at http://magnolia-licioushighlites.blogspot.com/ for a fall or Halloween card. I don't do Halloween but I do adore fall. And for the Simon Says Challenge here.
Now for the next project - a notebook.

I used a notebook I got at Target for 6 cents. They were clearing out their school stuff to make room for Halloween. The house mouse was colored with copics. I don't know where the dp is from. Got it a scrapbook store a while back. I left the notebook pretty plain because I made it for my college age dd and I know it will go in and out of a backpack. At first I glued the paper down with modgepodge but it didn't really stick so I used yes glue and that worked. I knew it had to stick well  and to be protected I covered it with modgepodge. That way it can even have a slightly damp cloth run over it if it gets messy.
Hope you enjoy my creations.

Happy House Mouse

I really struggled with this card. I would find one element and then I would sit and think and then find another one. I would try out one paper and then another one. I was about to go to bed last night when I saw my big flowers and thought I bet that would work and it did. All of it together. So here it is.

The little mice are colored with copics. I almost wonder if pencils would work better as this is such a small image. I have trouble with copics when the lines are so delicate. Cut out the red with nestabilities. The button is a leather one I picked up at a craft/reinactment fair years ago. I had to cut part of the back off as it was so thick. The twine bow is adhered on top as I couldn't get two pieces of twine through the holes. The little leaves are felt that I picked up at Target's see spot save section a couple of years ago. Then I drew veins on the leaves with copics. The dp is from an angel company paper set as are the words. The gold and copper paper were some scraps I had. I am trying to use up some of my scraps as I seem to be over flowing with them. I added stickles to the image and to the big flower.  I really appreciate all your comments and would love to hear what you have to say about this.

Magnolia-licious Christmas All Year Long Blog Hop

It is time for the monthly Christmas blog hop with Magnolia Stamps. I love Christmas but not all the work that goes with it so this is perfect. I get some of my Christmas cards done early so I don't have that to do. If you want to start at the beginning go here. If you have started at the beginning and have come from here, Norma's fabulous blog you are on the right track. Here is my card:

This was one of my first Magnolia stamps and still one of my favorites. Tilda can be gotten from here. She is colored with distress inks. After that on the wings and dress I painted angel wings shimmerz. Adds just a bit of sparkle. Gold stickles are on the stars and halo. The crisscross on the paper is done by using the score-it-all. Then the pearls were added with glue dots. A ribbon tied into a bow and a flower added. The corner punches are from EK Success.
Hope you are enjoying yourself on this blog hop. Your next stop is Robin's blog here. This card is also done for the grid challenge over at Stampacular Sunday Challenge here. And for the make it crafty challenge anything goes here.

Home Tweet Home

Someone I know wants some cards for moving into new homes and liked this stamp so here is a card.  I did one using the same image and some of the same papers but of course it still is different.

This stamp is from Susana's store here. It is from the Victoria Case summer collection. I colored the leaves as if they are just starting to turn. As she has flip flops on it is a warm fall day. We're having some here is Western PA. It is all colored in copics. The dress has some stickles added. Her eyes and the bird have diamond glaze added. The polka dot ribbon is from the see spot save section at Target. Hope you enjoy.

Circus Tilda

I made two cards recently. One with a stamp I have had a long time and hadn't used before and one with a stamp I just got. I have an addiction that is for sure.

This first one is from the new autumn collection for Magnolia stamps. Well actually it is two stamps. Tilda is called Circus Tilda and the horse is carousel horse. Can't you just hear the music playing. Maybe Edwin is waiting and watching or maybe on the next horse over. They are both colored with copics. The trim on Tilda's dress, her headband and belt all have stickles applied. The horse has some stickles in his hair. The rings and stirrup have gold stickles on them. The trim, bridle and eye have diamond glaze. The rhinestones are from Queen and co. The flower is a gift with a purchase of over $60.00 over at Magnolia-licious here. The dp is from basic grey. I don't remember which one and as it is getting late I'm too lazy to go look.

This stamp is from Stamps Happen by Janlynn here. If you love to color these stamps are for you. There is so much detail but they are beautiful. This is all colored with copics again. The swirls are from sizzix. There are touches of stickles around. I doodled around the edges. The scalloped paper is from dcwv. I added a little flower soft ultra fine to the pathway.

Hope you enjoy the creations.

Baby Bunny

My pastor's wife also wanted a card for the to be new parents. So this is what I can up with.

This is an old Penny Black stamp that I have had for years. I never liked how it turned out before. I do like this card. I don't know if it is because I have improved my technique over the years or because I like the look of the copic markers or maybe it is both. So yes I colored it with copics. The stars have a little bit of art institute glitter applied. The teddy has the ultra fine flower soft on it. Boy do I like that so much better than the regular. Really made for a cute teddy. I tried to take a picture of just the teddy but it was all blurry. I guess my camera doesn't take such a close-up picture. The yellow dp is some I have had forever also and never used. That is my life right now trying to use things up. Like in my freezer. lol. Then I used some fiskars scissors to cut the edge to sort of match the edge in the heart. I hadn't used those scissors in forever either. Good to use some things that have been sitting around forever.
Hope you enjoy the bunny.

Grandparents

My pastor's wife asked me to make a card for his brother and wife on becoming grandparents soon.  Well that was a new one on me. I didn't think I had any stamps that would quite fill the bill but I found a digi stamp on mo's digital pencil site here. Really this image is just too cute. And wouldn't it be wonderful if more married people were still this loving at this stage of live.
It is colored all in copics. The dp is from basic grey (can't remember which set and the cat is on my lap so I can't get up.) The bow is made of organza ribbon. The pearls are from Susana's store here. The flowers are from prima flowers and have dots of glitter from Sulyn. I wrote the words.
Here is a picture of the inside.
Hope you enjoy.

Sunflower Hoouse Mouse

Ah the last days of summer. I am most grateful for that this summer as it has been way too hot for me. So this card is to remind me to celebrate the seasons. And because I love sunflowers and housemouse stamps. lol

This image is colored with copics and has art institute glitter applied to the petals. The glitter on the seeds is from sulyn. The word is from a stamp set by the angel company. (I don't remember which one though). The sunflower is one from a whole bunch of stems and I pulled off one and cut the stem off. The bow is made from an organza ribbon and the three dew drops are from robin's nest. I made this card from the sketch over at the housemouseandfriends challenge blog here. Although it is hard to see there are two strips of glitter near the bottom that use the art institute glitter.
Here is a close-up of the ribbon of glitter.
Hope you enjoy.

Sheperdess Tilda

My studio isn't quite where I want it yet (see post below) but is so much better. Actually it is cleaner than before my disaster. However, I just had to create something. I was having withdrawal. When I do get the rest of the shelves up and everything arranged I will share.
I don't do Halloween. But I know little girls do love the dress up and Tilda is no exception. She dressed up as a shepherdess and is going to a costume party.
I used darker colors than I would have used at Easter because it is fall. I colored Tilda with Twinkling H2O's using a water brush (the water is in a barrel of the brush) on watercolor paper. I tried using fantastix as a brush but didn't have too much success. I still need practice with the water brush. I was going to take a water color class but instead I bought 4 new tires for my car. Not near as much fun. The face I did with water color pencils and  a dove blending pen. Then I decided because Tilda is dressed up she might want so shimmer to her checks so I did them in the Twinkling H2O's. For the lamp I used polar flower soft. I tried making it a little finer by rubbing it back and forth between my fingers.
Here is a close-up I don't know if you can see the shimmer or not.
The card is a gate fold and I made some embossed lines using my new Score-It-All that I won from 7 Kids College Fund on their challenge blog here. I was so excited I had been wanting one of these tools but hadn't quite got around to purchasing one. (and not that I was going to be able to any time soon after my tire purchase) So thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am truly thrilled and thankful. I can't wait to use it more.

A Mess

Just in case anyone is wondering what I am up to - it isn't stamping.
Yesterday just before I was going to take my dd back to school I realized my shelves that I store my paper on were coming apart. I was trying to fix them when everything started to fall apart. Here are the pictures.
This is where all the paper ended up. First I took off some paper because it was too heavy and then the shelves listed toward the side. Then I took off some more paper and the shelves listed to the front and everything started falling out.
There are the top of the shelves sitting on the floor.
Here is what is left of the shelves.
Here is a picture of my desk and other table. Needless to say I'm not neat to begin with but this is too much even for me. I went in there to do some straightening up and see what happens - I create more mess. lol
I bought some more shelves and am putting them together. I'll show what things look like when I am done.
