Calendar January

It is time for my annual calendar display. I am a little behind on getting them ready this year. I never do get them all ready before January 1st but I am slower than usual this year. I have one page of the five calendar pages that I need to do done.

I used the new mini magnolias. I didn't realize how tiny they really are, although they work just fine for this size. The regular size ones would have never fit. The format is 4 x 4. In the end I will bind the pages together with my bind-it-all.
Here is a close up of each of the pages.

The image is colored with copics. The edges are embossed with white diamond embossing powder. The snowflakes are from hero arts. The ribbon is from the see spot save section at Target. The dp is basic grey. The pearls are cut apart from a sting of pink pearls that I had from my mother.
Hope you enjoy and be on the watch for the rest of the pages in the near future - I hope.

Poinsettia

I really have to finish my Christmas cards and get them out. Christmas is in a week. Ack! I'm not done shopping either. My motto is always what gets done gets done and what doesn't doesn't matter. Christmas comes anyway. I made this card with the poinsettia stamp from the angel company. I don't think there is a poinsettia stamp that I don't like.

It is colored with copics. I made the dots around the image in yellows to help make it pop more as if there was light shining behind it. There are stickles on the image and gold stickles in the center. The paper is amelia from the angel company. I distressed the edges a bit. A pretty simple card that shows off the stamp.

Loving Couple

My niece is getting married tomorrow and I needed a card so of course I made one. Unfortunately it is going to be late - the story of my life. I had to use the Loving Couple from Magnolia. I got it a while ago just knowing that I would need it. I finally got to use it. Anyone else want to get married? lol

The image is colored with copics. I was surprised with how many colors I used to do this image as it doesn't seem to be that colorful.
 dress - R00, 00
flowers - R24 - R29
Shirt - BG0001.0
pants -W5, W3, W1, 00
The flowers have gold stickles in the center. There are crystal stickles on the dots and a bit in Tilda's hair. The flower has frosted stickles on it. The pearls were some my mother had for her crafting and I happened to find them the other day. They are so appropriate for this card as it is for her granddaughter. The dp is from memory box, their Christmas collection. For the line around the nestabilitie I just left it on the paper and traced around it.
Hope you have enjoyed this card.
I love reading your comments. They just  make my day.

Hung on a tree

When I saw this stamp set in the fall inspiration catalog from the angel company I just knew I had to have it.  Of course I think I have to have most stamps. lol I have lots of ideas on different ways to use this stamp but here is my first.

This set is called "hung on a tree" It is just so elegant. It is stamped in peeled paint distress ink and then I used a brush and water to spread the ink around. I added a little bit of copics in the holly to add some deeper color. Then I added crystal stickles on most of the swirls and some gold stickles on the top and dots around the tree. There are red stickles where the berries are. All the edges are distressed. The beads on the side are from Queen & Co. I don't remember where the dp is from.

Steelers Doll

I am going to a Christmas Party this evening and we have to bring a white elephant gift. I got the idea to make a steelers doll. I used to make this type of doll before but never as a steeler fan.  I think she turned out too cute. Hopefully she gets stolen a lot.  That would just make my evening. Now I have to make a dessert.

Isn't she just too much with her terrible towel and pennant? She even is wearing a football necklace. I'll be taking orders. lol

All things tutorial

I was asked how I made Tilda's toe stick out in the last post so I thought I would do a tutorial on how to do it. I used the blue jay from all things of nature stamps set by the angel company. I really like this stamp set but haven't used it for a while so it was fun to dig it out. First I will show you the finished product and then tell you how I did it.

I colored the blue jay with copics and added lots of stickles although I don't think you can see it very well. There are doodles around the nestabilites and star doodles down the edges. I added red bead from Queen & Co. on the branch because I wanted some red in the card.

Okay here comes my directions.

After I colored the blue jay I placed the die over him to see where I wanted him. Then I put a couple of marks at the edges where I wanted the branch to stick out.
Next cut out the branch and then place the nestabilities under the branch and over the image. It wasn't quite where I wanted it so I took off the nestabilites and cut some more. This time I liked it.
Here it is cut out with the die still on it.
So there you have it. Not that hard at all. Give it a try. I'm sure you will love the results.

Black and Pink Christmas

I love black and pink together and I had this ribbon that had pink poinsettias on a black background so I decided to go with the color scheme for two cards. Here is the first using the sitting angel Tilda from the Christmas collection.

Tilda is colored with copics - R81, R83, & R85 for her clothes. The same for the poinsettias which are also from Magnolia. There are crystal stickles on her wings, frosted lace on Tilda's lace. the poinsettias have gold stickles in the center and cotton candy stickles on the flower. The green leaves are from the Tim Holtz die. The edges are punched with a fiskars border punch. The gold dew drops are from Robin's nest.

Here is the second card using almost the same supplies and layout.

This stamp is from the retired Christmas season from the angel company. I really like this particular stamp.
Hope you have enjoyed these cards. And hopefully I will have my Christmas cards done soon.

Old Truck and Tilda

Well, Tilda is not in an old truck. There are two different cards. This first one is from a retired angel company stamp called Old Truck. This is one of my favorite guy stamps.  I have even used it as a Christmas card. This isn't a Christmas card even though there is a lot of red and green but a birthday card in December.

The truck is colored in copics. My dd had to do a project for her art class in college using pointillism so I though I would tyr it out for the sky. I think it looks kinda neat. The dp is from the Christmas collection from DCWV. The buttons have twine tied in them. The ribbon is some I had in my collection.

This next card uses Sitting Tilda.

She is colored with copics. The dp is all from DCWV again. The wing has some angel shimmerz paint applied. You see the same ribbon again. The lace has frosted lace stickles applied.

Hope you enjoyed my creations.

Magnolia-licious Christmas All Year Long Blog Hop

Can you believe it - Christmas is in one month. Fortunately I have many Christmas cards done in part because of the Magnolia-licious Christmas All Year Long Blog Hop. This is the last Christmas Blog Hop of the year. If you have arrived by accident go here to start from the beginning. If you have come from the uber talented Norma Lee here then you are on the right track.
Here is my card.

I used this this Angel Tilda. You can get her from Magnolia-licious here. I see she is out of stock but should be back in stock in a couple of weeks. I had a bit of trouble with this. At first I started to color her face but realized I was using colors I didn't like so I stamped her again. Then I cut her out in a circle but she was off center so I cut her out and layered her on the blue cardstock. That let to the problem of what dp to use with her. Nothing seemed right as most papers had green with the red and it just didn't seem to go. So off to the store to look for paper. I usually don't do that. I use what I have on hand. I buy lots but don't go out to buy to match a card already started. I found DCWV Christmas Combo Stack that seemed to work. As I was putting it together I found some lace on my desk but it was ecru so I went looking and found this white ribbon my mother used for the bunnies she used to make. I wove the red ribbon into the lace. My mother would have liked this card as red was her favorite color. This angel reminds me of a stuffed angel my dd had. She was dressed in red with blond hair. Tilda is colored with copics. The blue rhinestones are from Queen & Co. The poinsettia is from the hero arts. The love ticket is from the dp pack. Hope you enjoyed this card and this blog hop. Hope to be back next year. Next you are off to Robin's blog here.

Tildas - What else

I went to my local stamp store yesterday for their make and take and came home with some new embossing folders and a new die cut by Tim Holtz. Don't you just love new toys and to use them? So that is what I did. The first card we did at the make and take but when I got home I just had to add a Tilda.

We did just the door by using a wooden embossing plate and adding extra color with distress ink. I added the red stickles on the wreath when I got home and then decided Tilda with her coat would be a great addition. She is colored with copic markers. I added the polar flower soft on the bottom for some snow. The card was cute before but so much better with the additions in my opinion.
Next I used the brick embossing plate that came with the wooded plate to make a wall for Tilda to sit on.

I don't know if you can see the embossing real well. I added some white for mortar but left it plane on the red piece  on the side. The swirls were done with Tim Holtz's die. Tilda's fur is done with snow tex. I had to add some water because it was drying out but got a bit much because it ran a little.  The snow is done liquid applique and glitter. I added some glitter coming out of the lantern like the light was shining out. I do that with lighthouses but I don't know that it worked here. I may have to red this just cause it is bothering me. We'll see.
I couldn't stand it I just had to do some adjusting. I flicked off the yellow glitter and added more "snow" Then on the one edge where the snow tex ran I added some copic dots to cover the spot. Here is the result
I think it looks much better. What do you think?

Sitting Angel

I love this new Bo bunny dp. So I had to team it up with one of my new Tilda's.

Tilda is colored with copics. Her wing has some angel shimmerz applied over the copics. There is frosted lace stickles on her dress. I added some floss bows to her tails. I saw someone put a string of pearls around a circle like this before but I don't remember whom so I can't give credit where it is due. There a nailhead stickers in the corner. I tied organza ribbon and some sort of fiber around the dp and added a flower and pearl in the middle.

Snowy with Bells

There is a new Magnolia Challenge blog here. The first challenge is to use pink and yellow - one of my favorite color combination. They seem like spring colors but I want to do Christmas cards, hence my adventure to come up with a Christmas color using pink and yellow. I think I succeeded but you be the judge.

I used snowy with bells from last year. I thought it was so cute and finally got it.  She is colored with copics on cryogen. Love that cardstock for coloring with copics. The trim around Snowy's little jacket is Raspberry Fizz Ultra fine Flower Soft. The snow at the bottom is polar flower soft. The bells have diamond glaze on them. The dp is from basic grey. All the edges are roughed up and sewn. The swirls are from sizzix. The snowflakes are sequins from Hero Arts. I don't remember where the heart rhinestones came from. There is small glittery ribbon tied near the bottom as well as the big silk bow at the top. Hope you enjoy.

Magnolia Christmas Bell

Finally, I had a little time to stamp. My dd decided she wanted to come home for the weekend, which took almost 8 hours of my time. Love her to pieces and glad to see her but I did miss my creation time. lol

I love this bell by Magnolia. I suppose you could have a Tilda sit on it but I love it just the way it is. It is colored with copics with lots of different stickles around. The dp is from basic grey's blitzen collection. The poinsettias are from Hero Arts. The swirls are cut with the sizzix die. I saw on a challenge where anything goes but you had to be inspired by one of the dt members but I can't find the challenge - oh if I only had a brain. lol. Anyway I was inspired by the letter beads on the card so I decided to create some of my own. The beads I had were too large. So I wrote on the pez-a-doodle beads with copics. It does fit the Just Magnolia Challenge here to use beads. Here is a closer picture.

After much fussing as to placement on everything this is how it turned out. Hope you enjoy the card as much as I enjoyed creating it.

Shaker Tilda

I did this card for a couple of challenges. Sometimes I enjoy challenges to see what different things I come up with that I wouldn't have thought of on my own and sometimes I just like to do my own thing. This time I went the challenge direction. The first challenge I did was doing a shaker card at Magnolia-licious Highlights here. I love to do shaker cards and haven't done one in a while. The second challenge I did this for was Really Reasonable Ribbon here. When I found the link to this challenge I realized I hadn't followed the requirements. Not only is it supposed to be blue, white and silver but it had to have a ribbon on it. Back I went to find a place for the ribbon. It helps to read the instructions.

I used two different Magnolia stamps - Tilda with amaryllis and Tilda with gifts only Tilda with gifts didn't make it only the gifts which I stamped twice to get all the gifts I wanted. The window is from Art Impressions. Everything is colored with copics. The dp is from basic grey blitzen collection. The white one is edged with Pearlescent Sky Blue Brilliance and then it is also rubbed up and down on the paper. The snowflake on the paper in the window is a stamp from the angel company. The snowflakes that are floating around are ones from the Hero company. The snowflakes on the ribbon and flower are from JoAnns. The ribbon is from the see spot save section at Target. Tilda's dress has silver stickles, the flower have crystal stickles and the curtains have frosted lace stickles. The gifts have a couple of different stickles on them. The silver dew drops are from Robin's Nest.
Hope you enjoy.

Popcorn Edwin

I needed another birthday card for guy. Guys are so hard to make cards for. This turned out okay, not the best but not every card can be the best, I guess. I do like it though. This is an older gentlemen and does not strike me as an angel but he will get a kick out of an angel on his card or at least I think he will.

I used heartbreaker Edwin and the popcorn. It is all colored in copics. The wings and the background have shimmerz painted on. The popcorn has some stickles. The red I ran through my crimper, that I haven't used in years, both ways to make the  waffle effect. Added some buttons and ribbon. On the inside I am going to write "Hope you have a poppin' good birthday."
Have a great day.

Fall Edwin

I'm so excited my ds showed me how to make my pictures look better using adobe photoshop. Kids are fantastic! At least some of the time. lol. I love my kids. Maybe some day I will spring for a new camera to make my cards look even better.  For my card today I needed to make a card for my pastor whose birthday is on Halloween. I don't do Halloween but I do love fall so I used sitting groom Edwin.

He is colored all in copics. I don't remember which fence I used but there were daffodils on it so I had to hide those for a fall picture. I knew I wanted to use pumpkins but these aren't quite big enough to hide everything so I added purple flowers. I might have used a different color but they were the only color I had that were this small and I wanted them small. Oh the pumpkins were cut out of a stamp from the angel company. The leaves, ribbon and brads are from Target's see spot save section. The dp is from basic grey. I put gold stickles in the middle of the purple flowers and crystal stickles on the boutonniere. I went looking for white thread to sew around the edges and almost couldn't find any. I couldn't believe that I the one that sewed all my kids clothes for years was out of white thread, but I finally found some but I think I had better go buy more as I am almost out.
Enjoy these last few nice fall days.

MiLady Ballerina Tilda

On Saturday evening a friend and her husband took my dd and me out to dinner and a ballet. I had such a delightful time. The ballet was the Three Musketeers. The leading villain ballerina was so good. She of course was dressed in black so I decided to make a thank you card using ballerina Tilda dressing her in black with gold as was MiLady from the ballet.

I thought she turned out well. I wasn't quite sure if I could capture the dress with the gold sparkles in it but it turned out well. You may not be able to see it that well in this picture but irl it is great. I tried to take a close-up of Tilda but that didn't work so well. Tilda is colored with copics. I had never done a large area black but not a bad job if I say so myself. I could use more shades of gray though. (I could use more copics lol) Then I put dots of crystal stickles and dots of gold stickles all over the dress. The shoes have diamond glaze. There is a rhinestone on the crown in Tilda's hair. After I punched out the border I used the little hearts on the edge of the card and added stickles. There are also stickles in the holes of the border. I added flowers a bow, and some gold fern in the top corner. The ribbon is from Target's see spot save section and the dp is from basic grey Blitzen collection. Hope you enjoy this Tilda as much as I enjoyed making it. Now to get it mailed for my thank you.

Magnolia-licious Christmas All Year Long Blog Hop

Once again it is time for the Magnolia-licious Christmas All Year Long Blog Hop. What fun this is. If you came here from the talented Norma's blog here you are on the right track. If you didn't and want to start at the beginning click http://magnolia-liciouschristmasallyearlong.blogspot.com/
I had so many ideas swirling around in my head and in the end I didn't do any of them.  Ah well that is the way it goes - maybe next time.

I used Silent Night Tilda and poinsettias for this card. Tilda is colored in copics. I'll try to list all of them at the end, but there are almost 30 - no wonder I usually don't list them. There are so many out and then when I try to make my card there is just too much stuff laying about and I am not even a neat nick. The trim on the coat was done by first putting stickles down and then putting polar flower soft over top. The ribbon and boots have diamond glaze on them. The center of the small poinsettias have gold stickles in the center while the big ones have some gold beadz on them. The snow Tilda is standing on is done with liquid applique and glitter. The snowflakes and wind and pointsettias have crystal stickles on them. The dp is from bobunny. the little squares have flourishes from the angel company stamped on them. Added a few gold dew drops from Robin's nest on the corners.
It is time to move on to Robin's blog here.
 Copics used:
reds - R59. R29, R27, R24, R22
greens for coat - G94, G85, BG96, G24, G21, G28
face - E21, E00, E000, R20
leaves - G07, G14, YG06
hair - E35, E55, Y21
staff - E57, E31
background - B23, BG000,B00, 00
boot soles - BV29, BV04
flower centers - Y13
bottom lace of dress - R00
I still have a couple of colors leftover that I don't remember where I put. lol
Hope you enjoy the blog hop. I know there will be many wonderful cards shared.
This card is also done for the challenge over on the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge to use layers and flowers here.

Gift card

My dd's birthday is today. She is 24. I have no idea how that happened. And really I am only 25 so it is just impossible. lol. So one of her presents is an i-tune gift card so I made a holder.

I used wrapped Tilda for the front. She is colored with copics on cyrogen paper. It is so nice to work on. I just love it. I got it from stampinscrapin here. I will definitely be getting more. As Kaitey loves black and pink I chose those colors even though the dp is really a dark dark brown from the bittersweet collection by basic grey. The gift card was an unusual size so I created my own pocket. The paper was 7 3/4 x 6 1/2" scored at 2" and 2 1/4" on each side and then 1" at the bottom with the corners cut out and a rounded corner punch. Here is the back so you have a better idea of what I did.

The stamps on the back are from the angel company.
Here is a picture with the gift card.

I used a circle punch in the center but only part way down so there was a space to pull out the gift card. Besides this being a birthday present I did it for the gift card challenge on the stamping scrapping challenge blog here.
Hope you enjoy.

Tilda & House Mouse

After taking a break from stamping and sewing a backpack (see post below) I have two cards to show you today. The one I finished first is the House Mouse card so I will show it first.

I did this card for the purple challenge over at the purple challenge at the house mouse and friends challenge blog here.  Wouldn't you just love to soak in a hot tub on a cold night. The mouse and cup are colored with copics. I colored the pearls with copics also. Stickles are on all the butterflies. The flower is done by twirling and wrapping the fabric around in a circle and gluing it onto a circle of cardstock. (Wish I could remember where the tutorial for doing this is.)
The next card is made with a Tilda  from the Christmas 2010. I first really noticed amaryllis when we visited the Kukenhauf (?) gardens in Holland when I was pregnant with my first. The trip was not all the comfortable in my condition but the gardens were beautiful. We went back again after my dd was born. Of course she was the prettiest flower there. If I was organized I would show you the picture of her there but alas I am not. Anyway here is the card.

Tilda is colored with copics. The shoes and vest are done with the W series, the dress uses R81,83, 85. The rectangle scalloped nestabilities were used. The dp is from basic grey. The little dew drops are from Robin's Nest.
Hope you enjoyed today's cards.

Backpack

I haven't posted in a while and even now it won't be a card. I have been busy sewing a backpack for my dd at college. She decided she needed something different than she bought so here comes mother to the rescue.
I love quilting so this was a nice project with the little bit of piecing and quilting. I should finish some of the quilts I have started. lol
Here is a picture of the back.

It really was fun to sew again. I need to do more of it.

Tilda Sweeping

The leaves are falling at my house and need to be raked. I wish this little angel Tilda would come take care of mine. With at least 7 big trees and 4 apple trees plus several small smaller ones there is a huge amount of leaves to take care of and now that the kids are gone that leaves (pun intended) me with all the work. I'd rather stamp.
I made this card from a paper bag. The Magnolicious Highlites blog challenged us to make a fall card using a paper bag. I love this style so I just had to do another one. I just got the swirling leaves from Magnolia and had to use it. I thought what a perfect thing for Tilda to be sweeping at this time of the year - leaves. The dp is lemonade from basic grey. Tilda's dress is paper pieced and high lighted with copics.Tilda is popped up with foam tape.  The pile of leaves at the bottom is done with flower soft - the regular autumn and the fine citrus. The leaves at the top are some buttons I got at Target's see spot save section a while ago. Here is a picture of the middle of the card.
I added some punched leaves to spruce it up. (had to use a tree word). This card is also for the Halloween challenge at stamping scrapping challenge central here.

Here is another card I made recently,
This little nelliphant is from whiff of joy. I used a scrap of paper that I had made criss crosses on and then cut it out with nestabilities and then punched holes and cut out another pink oval so the darker pink would show through the holes. The elephant is colored with copics. The flowers have fine flower soft. After the glue dried I added some glitter glue to the center. I tried to do it before the glue dried but the flower soft kept coming right off.
Hope you enjoy my creations today. I love reading any comments that you are kind enough to leave.

Apple Tilda

Here is a rare occurrence - I am posting twice in one day. I have a cold and don't feel like doing any of the things I should so I keep going back and forth between my computer and my studio. lol I just had to have this Tilda because of her boots. How sad is that. I wouldn't wear boots like this if you paid me but she is just too darn cute in them.

Tilda is colored in copics. Then there is diamond glaze on the apples and frosted lace stickles on the lace. I doodled around the red nestabilities. There is also burnt umber ink edged around both red pieces. The white nestabilities has some red ink around it. The yellow card stock I made the criss cross with the score-it-all and then folded each over and ran some sand paper across the folds to let the white come through (it is dcwv that is white core). The green swirl is a die from sizzix. First I put two red flowers together but decided that was really too much red and I love red so I made the larger one the peachy color.
Copics used:

Face: E11, E00, E000
Cheeks: R20
Dress: Y17, Y06, Y02, Y00
Apples: R59, R29, R27, R24, R22
Leaves, Boots & Bandana: G28, G94, G24
Basket: E57, E35, E31, E50
Hair: E35, YR31, YR20
Laces & Soles: C5, C1
Background: BG000, V000
Hope you enjoy.

trees

I love fall and the turning of the leaves hence today's 2 cards. There are almost the same I just played with them a bit. Both use the love and laughter set from the angel company. Usually I like to use stamps that I color but I do love these trees. Both use dp's from basic grey and the small scallop square and fleur di lis nestabilities. The flower soft is the ultra fine which I like so much better than the original.  It sticks better.

For the corners I used the smaller die, cut it in half and then cut off any little legs still attached.

Fall

I have two things to share on this cool fall evening.  I may have to turn on the heat soon. Don't want to do that though until I get the furnace checked.
First is a card with Tilda playing in the leaves.

She is colored with copics. The top I originally did with the V line and then realized it was too red for the paper and ribbon so I went over it with the BV line. I won't tell you how many colors I used in the hair until I got the coloring the way I wanted it. I couldn't tell you even if you wanted me to because I don't know. The dp is from the fusion line from basic grey. I love this paper but haven't used it in quite sometime. One year I used it for my Christmas cards. There are some stickles on the top and in the leaves. The flower is from Magnolicious. The ribbon I got from my lss. The dew drops are from Robin's nest. I made this card for the challenge at http://magnolia-licioushighlites.blogspot.com/ for a fall or Halloween card. I don't do Halloween but I do adore fall. And for the Simon Says Challenge here.
Now for the next project - a notebook.

I used a notebook I got at Target for 6 cents. They were clearing out their school stuff to make room for Halloween. The house mouse was colored with copics. I don't know where the dp is from. Got it a scrapbook store a while back. I left the notebook pretty plain because I made it for my college age dd and I know it will go in and out of a backpack. At first I glued the paper down with modgepodge but it didn't really stick so I used yes glue and that worked. I knew it had to stick well  and to be protected I covered it with modgepodge. That way it can even have a slightly damp cloth run over it if it gets messy.
Hope you enjoy my creations.

Happy House Mouse

I really struggled with this card. I would find one element and then I would sit and think and then find another one. I would try out one paper and then another one. I was about to go to bed last night when I saw my big flowers and thought I bet that would work and it did. All of it together. So here it is.

The little mice are colored with copics. I almost wonder if pencils would work better as this is such a small image. I have trouble with copics when the lines are so delicate. Cut out the red with nestabilities. The button is a leather one I picked up at a craft/reinactment fair years ago. I had to cut part of the back off as it was so thick. The twine bow is adhered on top as I couldn't get two pieces of twine through the holes. The little leaves are felt that I picked up at Target's see spot save section a couple of years ago. Then I drew veins on the leaves with copics. The dp is from an angel company paper set as are the words. The gold and copper paper were some scraps I had. I am trying to use up some of my scraps as I seem to be over flowing with them. I added stickles to the image and to the big flower.  I really appreciate all your comments and would love to hear what you have to say about this.

Magnolia-licious Christmas All Year Long Blog Hop

It is time for the monthly Christmas blog hop with Magnolia Stamps. I love Christmas but not all the work that goes with it so this is perfect. I get some of my Christmas cards done early so I don't have that to do. If you want to start at the beginning go here. If you have started at the beginning and have come from here, Norma's fabulous blog you are on the right track. Here is my card:

This was one of my first Magnolia stamps and still one of my favorites. Tilda can be gotten from here. She is colored with distress inks. After that on the wings and dress I painted angel wings shimmerz. Adds just a bit of sparkle. Gold stickles are on the stars and halo. The crisscross on the paper is done by using the score-it-all. Then the pearls were added with glue dots. A ribbon tied into a bow and a flower added. The corner punches are from EK Success.
Hope you are enjoying yourself on this blog hop. Your next stop is Robin's blog here. This card is also done for the grid challenge over at Stampacular Sunday Challenge here. And for the make it crafty challenge anything goes here.

Home Tweet Home

Someone I know wants some cards for moving into new homes and liked this stamp so here is a card.  I did one using the same image and some of the same papers but of course it still is different.

This stamp is from Susana's store here. It is from the Victoria Case summer collection. I colored the leaves as if they are just starting to turn. As she has flip flops on it is a warm fall day. We're having some here is Western PA. It is all colored in copics. The dress has some stickles added. Her eyes and the bird have diamond glaze added. The polka dot ribbon is from the see spot save section at Target. Hope you enjoy.

Circus Tilda

I made two cards recently. One with a stamp I have had a long time and hadn't used before and one with a stamp I just got. I have an addiction that is for sure.

This first one is from the new autumn collection for Magnolia stamps. Well actually it is two stamps. Tilda is called Circus Tilda and the horse is carousel horse. Can't you just hear the music playing. Maybe Edwin is waiting and watching or maybe on the next horse over. They are both colored with copics. The trim on Tilda's dress, her headband and belt all have stickles applied. The horse has some stickles in his hair. The rings and stirrup have gold stickles on them. The trim, bridle and eye have diamond glaze. The rhinestones are from Queen and co. The flower is a gift with a purchase of over $60.00 over at Magnolia-licious here. The dp is from basic grey. I don't remember which one and as it is getting late I'm too lazy to go look.

This stamp is from Stamps Happen by Janlynn here. If you love to color these stamps are for you. There is so much detail but they are beautiful. This is all colored with copics again. The swirls are from sizzix. There are touches of stickles around. I doodled around the edges. The scalloped paper is from dcwv. I added a little flower soft ultra fine to the pathway.

Hope you enjoy the creations.

Baby Bunny

My pastor's wife also wanted a card for the to be new parents. So this is what I can up with.

This is an old Penny Black stamp that I have had for years. I never liked how it turned out before. I do like this card. I don't know if it is because I have improved my technique over the years or because I like the look of the copic markers or maybe it is both. So yes I colored it with copics. The stars have a little bit of art institute glitter applied. The teddy has the ultra fine flower soft on it. Boy do I like that so much better than the regular. Really made for a cute teddy. I tried to take a picture of just the teddy but it was all blurry. I guess my camera doesn't take such a close-up picture. The yellow dp is some I have had forever also and never used. That is my life right now trying to use things up. Like in my freezer. lol. Then I used some fiskars scissors to cut the edge to sort of match the edge in the heart. I hadn't used those scissors in forever either. Good to use some things that have been sitting around forever.
Hope you enjoy the bunny.
