Circus Tilda

There is a very cool challenge going on over at Magnolicious Challenge blog here. I used Circus Tilda and Carousel Horse to make my card.
Everything is colored with copics. The dp is from bo bunny. The swirls are cut from a Tim Holtz die. I made the bow with my bow easy. That is one cool tool.

Here is the same card.

When you pull the tab Tilda and her horse move along. I hadn't done one of these cards in a long, long time. I really had to think about how to do it again. If you are interested I can do a tutorial - just not tonight. lol

Hope you enjoyed this card as much as I enjoyed making her. I would love for you to leave comments. They really make my day.

Magnolia-licious Christmas All Year Long Blog Hop - April

Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. Mine was so very nice. We went to church for breakfast then had our Resurrection Worship Service. Afterward the kids all came over to my house. My oldest dd called from NY so I connected with all of them. We had a great dinner together and then they left to go back to their places. I don't like it when they leave. Oh well I guess that is why we have them to make them responsible adults but I miss them. Enough of that.
On to my card for the Magnolia-licous Christmas All Year Long Blog Hop. Every 25th of the month we have a Christmas blog hop. If you have come from the oh so very talented Norma Lee's blog here. You are on the right track. If you happened here by chance and want to start at the beginning or get lost go here.
I chose dangling Tilda for my image this time.

Tilda's clothes are paper pieced and accented with copics. I was just going to color Tilda but my new C9 copic marker decided to blob everywhere. I had almost finished coloring her and didn't want to start all over again so I just paper pieced her top and bottom. I tried to make it look as if she is hanging off the circle. The white circles are done with nestabilities. The pearl dots are done with iridescent white scribbles. The ribbon was a small piece I just found laying on my desk that I have no recollection of where it came from but it fit with my white theme so I used it. The punch at the bottom of the ribbon is done with a fiskars punch. The silver strip at the top is a peel-off from Magenta. The background white was embossed with an dotted embossing folder. The poinsettia stamp are from Magnolia. They were stamped with silver and embossed with silver pearl embossing powder. The centers are done with silver stickles.  The corners have have pearls in them. Around the embossed dots is silver mirror cardstock. It almost looks black in the picture. Here is another view.

Here is the inside.

The banner is done with my favorite stamps die cut. And then there are two more poinsettias. The letters are from a retired angel company stamp set.
 Here is a close-up.

Hope you enjoyed my card for the day. Now it is off to see what wonderful creation Robin created here.
Thank you so much for stopping by.
This card is done for the anything goes stampingscrappingchallenge here.

Peeker

Maybe warm weather will actually come but in the mean time I think I will stamp with summer type stamps to warm up. Here is one I got from Susana's store. I just love these new peekers.

She is colored with copics. The dp is from bo bunny. The flowers are from prima flowers with mini dew drops from Robin's nest. The pearls on the side are colored with copics as well. I didn't have the right color so I colored them and my fingers as well. The butterflies are punched out and colored with copics and then have stardust stickles on them. The punch on the top and bottom are from fiskars. I did the bow with a bow easy tool, from Susana's store as well. What a wonder that is. It makes so much prettier bows than I make on my own.
I made this card for flutterby wednesdays here anything goes.
And for the SCACD friends challenge here to use one of their stamps, a ribbon and 2 dps.
Have a super day and please leave a comment. They really mean so much.

Bird Cage

I got a couple of new stamps at my lss. I wanted something different than what I have been playing with for a while. Don't get me wrong I love my maggies but sometimes you want something different. Here is the card I made.

The stamp is from Great Expectations. I even embossed with gold and I hadn't done that is a long time either. It is colored with copics. The dp is from basic grey. The flower is done with my favorite stamps die cut. This card is being entered in flutterby wednesday here. The challenge was to pastels and of course butterflies or angels.

Hope you enjoy my creation.

Flower

I went to my local stamp store today for their make-a-take class. We did this cool flower. They used a punch to do it but I thought I am not paying $25.00 for just one  punch and there were two different sizes. I thought I'll use my scalloped circle nestabilites and save my self a punch of money plus I won't have to punch anything. Here is the card I made at home using the same technique.

I used bo bunny paper for the background and the flower (It was double sided). I had a little trouble coloring her face. You see I did use some punches for the butterflies and the border. I received the butterfly charm from someone but don't remember whom. Added some sprays of pearls and some half pearls around the edges. I used a button in the center of mine flower with some fiber tied around. I was surprised to see the shoes turn a pink color. They were white before I added the crystal sickles.  Oh well I like them just the same.

Oh if you want to know how we did the flower it is pretty easy. Make three circles and then hold them together while you cut part way in at each indent. (Actually you could skip some and just do every other one or every third one) Then using glue dots put each layer together but don't line the scallops up. Then fluff and add whatever center you would like. In the first one it is just a paper circle. I used a button but you could use a big brad. I think that would be cool.
Hope you enjoy.

Cross

It is almost Easter and I am trying to make some Easter cards. Here is one I did today for the angel company  Easter basket blog hop. Although the name says Easter basket it can be any Easter card.

The image is colored with copics and then run through a xyron machine. Afterward I sprinkled glitter onto the adhesive. The cross on top was a charm but I cut off the loop and adhered it with a glue dot. The squiggles and dots around the edges were done with a stardust gelly roll pen. There is a yellow ribbon tied around a bow of off white ribbon.  The dp is from perhaps by basic grey.  Hope you enjoy this creation.

April Showers

It must have been raining in Tilda's life because she is wearing her rubber boots. She wouldn't need them here for the rain but the snow, although the sun has come out.

I love this Tilda and I love the dp so they just had to go together. The dp is from memory box. Tilda is colored in copics. The gate and the lamp post are from Magnolia also. Tilda is mounted on foam tape and she is carrying a little purse charm. Not sure where I got it - maybe my dd's collection that she gave me. The ribbon is just two pieces tied together.  I outlined the nestabilities die cuts for some more interest. It is stitched around the one layer. There are little dew drops in the flowers and in the one corner. Tilda's dress and bow have stickles and her boots have diamond glaze on them.

Hope you enjoyed my card for today. I love reading your comments. They really make my day.
