Miss Turtle

I got this stamp because my dd's friend loves turtles and because it is just too cute. I had stamped and colored this image for another project but it didn't work out. I was in my studio tonight being very tired and decided to use it. Miss Turtle is colored with pencils and blended with gamsol. I used souffle pens to add just a bit of dimension on the purple dots, flower centers and edge of the shell. Then I added some yellow souffle pen to the flowers. I couldn't believe I actually used my sewing machine for this card. I love to sew but haven't sewn if just forever. I used to make almost all my clothes and my children's clothes now I haven't used my machine except to mend other people's clothes. Just how sad is that.

So stinkin sweet! And I've had my Souffle pens forever and have just started using thme and love them! They really make the flowers pop right off the page. And I love the sewing! I sewed a couple of weeks for the first time on paper and loved it! I haven't sewed since Christmas and it's realy my first love. Let's sew more, Peggie!
