Leaf

Here is a little different twist on an old technique. The leaf (from the angel company) is stamped with versamark or a clear ink pad and embossed with clear embossing powder on a piece of newsprint. Then using a brayer and ink, in this case a Kaleidoscope ink pad and cover the image with the ink. The paper is from basic grey. The little leaf is something from a small kit from Target's see spot save section. The paper floss is colored by rubbing it over the reddish color in the Kaleidoscope ink pad.

Chickadee

Here is another Stamps Happen stamp. They are so beautiful. This is colored in copics and prisma color pencils along with some oms. The snow was done with a white pen and liquid applique. Diamond glaze is on the berries. And what is a card without some glitter so there is stickles on the star. I printed the verse by hand. I can't believe Christmas will be here before you know it. It will be good to have some cards done already.

French Horn

These Stamp Happen Stamps are just gorgeous and so detailed. For this card the stamp was first stamped in burnt senna ink on a yellow basic grey paper and then in black. Ever other square on the brown ink was colored with copics and then the colorless blender pen was used to take away a little color from corner to corner. The french horn, bow and candle were colored on the black inked image and then colored with copics and some prisma color pencils. It was cut out and glued over the image on the brown inked image. The french horn had diamond glaze applied and then just a little bit of glitter added. The berries are done with red stickles which were also added to a few corners. The yellow bazzill card was edged with gingerbread chalk ink. What an elegant card.

Miracle 2

I thought I would try this stamp from Stamps Happen again only in a different color scheme. I stamped it three times, once on the card, once on the light blue and once on white. I cut out the light blue around the outside edge of the picture and the white around the inside of the image and the shells. It is colored with prisma color pencils and the setting sun is done free hand with some stickles applied. The outside edge is done with a silver marker. Pearls are added on two corners. Silver Pearl ex is dotted on both sides of the bottom words and used to paint the birds.

Miracle

This card is done with a Stamps Happen stamp from Janlynn. First it was stamped on a card then the inside is cut out. Then the inner portion was stamped on a cream colored cardstock plus the one nautilus shell. Everything is colored with colored pencils. Portions of the see and sand are painted with a mixture of pearl ex and gum arabic. The nautilus shell is mounted with foam tape. Little dots of the pearl ex mixture are applied over the card. A organza ribbon is place around the bottom of the card. This is for a color challenge using only muted colors.

Eiffel Tower revisted

Today's challenge was to do a split negative. The Eiffel Tower is from the angel company. The pink cord is from making memories. DP is basic grey and the flower is from prima flowers. Pretty simple but the technique is so neat.

adriondack chairs

This is a pretty simple card. Just stamped and colored with pencils and a touch of souffle pen for the middle of the purple flowers. The stamp is from Stubby Stamps. They have lots and lots of neat stamps. Check out their site at http://www.stubbystampers.com/ I tied a yellow organza ribbon around and tied a swirly clip to it. The decorative paper is from basic grey.

Butterfly Case

On Danni's blog today is CASE (copy and steal everything) for flutterby Wednesday. I cased this from a stampin' up stamp that was on the cover of The Rubber Stamper several years ago. It is one of my favorite cards. This original stamp was just one but I didn't have anything like that so I used at least five stamps to create this card.

This little cutie is a doll I made a few years ago when I did craft shows. Isn't she a sweetie. I just thought I would share her. I had to put her and the other dolls away because now that I have two cats they won't leave the girls alone.

Flutter by

This is a technique fashioned after something Tim Holtz has on his blog. The only problem was - I didn't have any of his supplies. Here is what I did. I put some Marvy ink on a craft sheet and then spritz it with water. I then layed a piece of white paper over the ink and swirled it around a bit to catch all the ink. After it dried I stamped some vines from the simply divine stamp set by the angel company using pink coral brilliance. Then I "painted" the vines with mixture of pearl ex and gum arabic. I brushed the extra off and then heat set it. Next comes the stamping of the butterfly with Memento black. I added just a touch of a couple of purple copic markers to the butterfly. I edged the paper with the coral ink pad and eggplant versacolor. The patterned paper is basic grey. I added some metallic dew drops and some ribbon.
