White Core Paper

I did a couple of new, for me, things with colored paper with a white core or in this case DCWV. I think they turned out neat. DCWV doesn't work that well as the card itself but it is fun in layering.
For this first card I ran the paper through my big shot with a embossing plate and then sanded the embossed areas so you could see them better.

Amazingly enough I had ribbon that has bandanas on it also so that made a nice accent and then tied a ribbon around it. This little girl is from the simply because stamp set by the angel company - long since retired. She is colored with copics.
There is crystal stickles in the middle of the flower in her hair and red stickles in the middle of the flower she is holding. Along the side are pez-a-bling from here

My next card uses a Magnolia stamp from here. I think it is from the yummy collection. I thought she was just too cute.

For the background on this one I used my boning tool and ruler and made lines every half inch at a 45 degree angle. Then I folded each line and sanded across the fold. I would have probably been much easier with a scor-pal or ek success's new scoring board but I don't have one so I improvised. The dp is from the lemonade collection by basic grey. The ribbon that Tilda is sitting on is from Target's see spot save section. The scalloped circles are cut out from nestabilites. Tilda is colored with copics. The dots and her bows have stickles on them. Tilda's lollipop has two layers of dimensional glue. The little pearls are from here.
Hope you enjoyed my cards for today.

Both cards are so cute! Love the paisley embossing and the sanding really sets it off. I'm amazed you got your score marks so even on the second card! Mine would have been all wonky.

Beautifully done embossing on both cards! You've colored them so beautifully. Wonderful to have found just enough ribbon to match you're paisley card!
