Holiday Wednesday

Here it is Wednesday and time for my Wednesday Christmas card. This card worked up really quickly. That may because I used a sketch - of course I almost never use a sketch exactly.  What fun would that be. It is much more fun to create something original rather than an exact copy of something else. But the sketches do help sometimes.

For this card I used the retired set Christmas Seasons from the angel company.  It is really one of my favorite Christmas sets. I colored the poinsettia with prisma color pencils if for no other reason because I knew I didn't have the right color copics. There are crystal stickles on the swirls and gold stickles on the outside dots. The center of the poinsettia is done with clear mini beads. The scalloped circles are done with nestabilities.  At this rate I may actually get all my Christmas cards done long before Christmas. What a wonder that would be.

Lovely card Peggie! sketches do help when in an hurry and the brain goes dead! and I think you learn from using them, but like you I also want to try to be original, not always easy is it, with so many folk crafting these days ;o)
