Used lots of punches with this one. Punched out the scalloped circle then punched little circles in the scallops. The edge of the paw print dp was punched. Doncha just love the bone clip. Then there is the paw print twill tape. the Lab is from family dogs by the angel company and colored with prisma color pencils. The two little paw prints are a stamp from the angel company also - just can't remember which one just now but it is from a cat set. On no don't tell the dog.
I just found out this card was published in the Fall Just Cards magazine. What a thrill. I've been published a few times before but is still excites me ever time. This is embossed with Egyptian gold and colored with tombows. The image is butterfly swirls from the angel company. The paper is also from there.
Here is the last bee card I will be doing for a while. I got them all done. The bees are stamped on circles of vellum then colored with copics. Punched a scalloped circle and put the bees on it. Punched holes for the brads. Punched the edges and then used the swirls for embellishments. Added bella baubles as a final touch. Hope you have enjoyed my bee series.
I saw this layout on a card in Take Ten and really liked it so here it is in my version. The bee (Summer Squares by the angel company) is colored with prisma color pencils and OMS. The wings have stickles and there are little cotton candy stickles on the dots in the background. The dp is basic grey. A punch was used for the border across the top which is also tied with organza ribbon. The flowers are You've Got Flowers? with bella baubbles in the middle.
This image is from the Flower Collage Trio by the angel company. It is colored with prisma color pencils. Some stickles are added to the flower. There is a picture pebble over the date. The background paper is done with the shaving creme technique. Actually I think my dd did it several years ago and I just pulled it out yesterday to use. An organza ribbon is tied around the paper. The butterfly is a cut out from some dp paper I happened to have sitting on my desk for who knows what reason. The antenna are pearls on a plastic string. Then there are three small brads in the corner.
I really like how this one turned out. The beehive is from the stitched bee stamp set by the angel company. It has been retired for several years. I don't remember which set the bees are from. I found my memento stamp pad in a puzzle box that was sitting out on the table while we worked the puzzle so this is colored with copics. Flower soft was added around the bottom of the beehive. The little bees on the beehive were attached with foam tape. The dp is from basic grey. Organza ribbon is tied around the dp. I love the purple brads in the corner. Stickles were added to the bee wings.
I don't know how I feel about this card. The yellow all match better in real life. The yellow paper is a metallic so that is probably why the scan doesn't show the true color. All the bees are colored with souffle pens. Glitter was added on the wings while the ink was still wet. Brads - black and yellow flowers are used in all the corners. Be happy is hand written in white ink along all the bee corners.
I found this dp at JoAnn's then went to my lss and there were flowers that matched perfectly. I love when that happens. The ribbon is some I had gotten years ago at Michael's The stamp is from the stamp set The Buzz by the angel company. The bee is colored with prisma color pencils and then some yellow liquid applique. That stuff is so much fun to watch puff up. The wings have stickles on them. I had my class of 6th - 8th graders make this card this morning. They seemed to enjoy it.
This image is from seeds of blessings by the angel company and the swirls are from the curls and swirls stamp set. The dp is double sided so that the top is folded done and then stapled with a fastenator. Of course the wings have glitter added. The image is colored with prisma color pencils. As soon as I unbury my memento stamp pad I will use my copics again. The flowers are You've got Flowers from prima flowers with bella baubles in the centers. The swirls are stamped with versa magic chalk ink.
Here is another bee card. I used a nestabilities label for the center. The bee is colored with prisma color pencils and stickles are added to the wings. Wings just have to have glitter. Turquoise brads are in the corner. Prima flowers are used on the organza ribbon and the image with some gold stickles for the center. The paper is basic grey. Bella baubles are in the upper corner. The bee is from the angel company from the stamp set, seeds of blessings.
This card uses the retired set, The Buzz, from the angel company. Lots of Basic grey paper used here. The bee as a little yellow liquid applique on the body and head with some glitter added. The glitter on the wings is stickles. There is a bit of prisma color pencil on the body and head also. My girlfriend wanted some cards using bees as that is their family mascot so you will probably be seeing more bee cards in the near future. Can't you just hear this bee buzzing the question "have you heard".
