Diamond Nellie
Every Wednesday I like to do a color challenge on create-a-card yahoo group The colors are obvious - green and gray. It really is a simple card except for cutting the diamonds is a bit tricky. The elephant is colored with watercolor pencils and blended with a dove marker. I made it for a boy who is turning 15 at church. Guy cards are really difficult even when they are simple. I guess I just think like a girl. Umm! I wonder why.

White Cross 2

White Cross
Although this card looks a little beige in the picture it actually is all white. The cross is embossed with silver pearl embossing powder. The flower in the center has a pearl dew drop for its center. The flowers on the edges of the ovals have white brad centers. The flowers on the ends of the cross have tiny pearl beads on them. This would make a lovely Easter card or a first Communion card or something of that sort.

Piggie Dance
Here is another piggie from the same stamp set. She just looks like she is singing hallelujah. She is colored with pencils except her flowers which are copics with some crystal stickles over top. The ovals are cut with coluzzles which I think are going to be no more if I heard correctly. I love the little pink dew drops. I haven't decided whether I like them better than brads but maybe just as well depending on the look I am looking for.

Piggie
Today's challenge was to make a shaker card. I hadn't done one of these in a long time. I just love this little pig with her quizzical expression. She is from a tac stamp set. The floral frame is from Great Impressions. Everything is colored with prismacolor pencils except the tiny pink flowers. Those are with bic markers. I added crystal stickles to the large purple flowers and cotton candy pink stickles to the little pink flowers. In the shaker are large and small glitters and small crystal beads.

True Beauty 2
Danni has a butterfly challenge on her blog every Wednesday and today's challenge was to use a butterfly and a button. The butterfly collage is painted with twinkling H2O's. Did you hear where they are going out of business - too bad. The butterfly was painted again with radiant pearls and then embossed with clear embossing powder. The collage is from the angel company. The little butterflies on the side are from elemental doodles.

Elemental Doodles
I received this stamp in a name that stamp contest by Elemental Doodles. They are a new company. She is colored with prisma colored pencils with stickles added for highlights on the wings and the cape. Oh the stamp set is called mystic fairy.
Swans are so beautiful. I love to color black swans when I am stamping because they show up so much better. This one is colored with prisma colored pencils with some stickles on the swirls around her. It is also from the stamp set mystic fairy by elemental doodles.

Trisha
Don't you wish you could be getting a massage also. Right now I think I would just go to sleep. Any way I created her using copics and bic mark-it markers. I was told they worked very similar to the copics. They are a lot cheaper but the color selection isn't very good. I don't really know how I like them as I haven't used either very much.

Julia
These Rubber Romance stamps are just too much fun. The "girls" have just a touch of sass to them. This is Julia although I might rename her Emily after my oldest who loves to read. I colored her with prismacolor pencils and a touch of copics. The dress, book and purse are all paper pieced. The flower is pink and highlighted with chalk ink.

True Beauty
This image is from a new stamp set called true beauty from the angel company. The image is colored with prismacolored pencils, edged with a krylon gold marker and then splattered with the gold ink from the marker. The big pearl brads were gotten from Target a year or so ago. I tied blue and yellow organza ribbon around the papers and applied some paper flowers with a gold brad for the center.

The challenge was to use a paper we had been hoarding. My dd bought this paper from England for me for Christmas one year. I couldn't bring myself to use it, but I decided to use it for this challenge. The peas have a story also. One lady at church did a children's sermon on the "peas" of God or the peace of God. She dressed up as peas. I just had to make a card using peas. The peas are little green pearls.

Dancing Nellie
Can't you just see the joy this little cutie is dancing with. The elephant was stamped on white mulberry paper. When I applied her onto the black paper she turned gray. Gee - white and black make gray. Lol I added a touch of pink on her ears and mouth. Her clothes are paper pieced and then I applied some stickles. The stamps are all from the angel company. Somewhere in my collection I found some black paper flowers. I added some black organza ribbon under the top flower. The card is a gatefold.
