Butterfly Kisses

I got my order from the craft's meow here. I got several new nina b. designs stamps and just couldn't wait to use this one. It is way out of the ordinary of what I usually like but a little spice never hurts.

First I stamped the butterflies with a light pink chalk ink all over and then stamped the fairy image over top using gingerbread chalk ink.  Stamped the words using burnt umber palette ink. Applied the edges with petunia pink chalk ink and some more of the gingerbread. I outlined the image and the wings with a glitter gelly roll pen and then tried to add just an eye. Well then she looked like an alien. What to do - I colored the whole image with the glitter pen and liked it oh so much better than with just the ink. I put two different flower soft colors on the flower that she is blowing. The flower stem was done a green souffle pen. The two butterflies are stamped with the petunia pink ink and cut out. The pink border was done by using a butterfly border die from memory box. I cut two butterfly borders out and the middle piece is what I used for the border. The dp is from basic grey. The ribbon is from the see spot save section at Target. A few pearls and the card is complete.
Here is the inside and you can see the butterfly border.

Hope you enjoy.

Beautiful Shelf

I love this set from Nina B, now retired from the angel company. This is the first chance I have had to use it.
I have ordered some more of her stamps from another company, Cat's Meow here. Can't wait to get them.

I masked the doily and then stamped the dresser. The vase is glued on top. Everything is colored with copics. The dp is capella from basic grey. The butterflies are punched with a Martha Stewart punch with some gold stickles for the body. The flowers are from prima with yellow stickles for the centers. I was at Target thinking about this card and decided it needed more depth so I came home and added the flowers. Hope you enjoy.

Golfing Edwin

I know, I know there is no stamp of Edwin golfing but I don't know any women that golf but I know lots of guys who do so I decided to make Golfing Tilda into Golfing Edwin.

I took the body of golfing Tilda and cut off her head and put in soccer Edwin in its place. I used a ruler to line up where the golf club should go and drew in the middle of the golf club. (my wonderful artistic talent at work again lol) Golfers often where unique pants so I paper pieced the pants using a scrap of basic grey dp and colored them with copics. All the coloring is done with copics. The great big golf ball is from a retired set from the angel company. The golf ball is covered with diamond glaze. The image and the golf ball are popped up with foam tape. Here is a picture of the inside of the card.

The words and the golf course are also from the set from the angel company.
Hope you all are having a tee-rific day. Stay safe if you are in Irene's path. Talked to dd #1 who is right outside of NYC and she is battening down the hatches.

Musical Mice

Our musical director at church is having a birthday tomorrow. So I thought this image from house mouse stamps was perfect. He is one fabulous pianist and just a lot of fun.

The image is colored with distress inks, watercolor pencils and regular colored pencils. A couple of layers, a ribbon and some pearls complete this creation.
Have a fab Friday.

Notebooks

DD is off to college but she wanted me to decorated some notebooks for her. I got them at Target last year when they were having a clearance on some of their notebooks. I think I paid 9 cents for them so even with the paper it was way less than some of the already decorated ones.

This one is done with the stamp set queenie, a retired stamp set from the angel company. Really sad because now all stamps from the angel company are retired. It has gone out of business. I was mostly just a hobbiest but I loved the stamps. I have so many. This paper is from bo bunny and double sided. So I cut the paper and used both sides. The dress is paper pieced and then colored with copics. Each dress has a different color of stickles along the side.

This one is done with harvest bear from the angel company. I took the picture before it was really dry. I put a layer of ModPodge on all of them to protect the paper. I doodled around the edge of the paper and around the image which is colored with copics.

This is the last one I did. This image is from Me and Carrie Lou. I love these stamps, well there aren't too many that I don't love. lol. Paper is from bo bunny. The image is colored with copics. Before the Mod Podge dried I put yellow stickles in the center of the flowers.

Hope you enjoyed my creations and maybe have inspired you.

Snow Flower Tilda

Over at Book Endz Color Me Creative we have a book club and were supposed to read a book called Snowflower and the Secret Fan and then make a card to go with the book. This is what I came up with.

I used Chinese Tilda and a fan from Parked on Rubber. I have no idea if the fan is still available but I love it. Everything is colored with copics and then some stickles are applied. The black and silver are done with Viva Decor pens. The silver paper is from my stash and years old. The pink flowers were from the See Spot Save section at Target a couple of years ago. You can find lots of interesting things in the section.
This card is done for Book Endz here
And for the flower challenge at Magnolia Lovers Challenge blog here.
And for Magnolia Monday here.

Hope you enjoy. I do love reading your comments.

Nurse Tilda

My boss/friend had a stroke while kayaking. It is really quite the miracle that he lived as he had to be floated down rapids on a raft, carried up a hill by eight men, taken by atv to ambulance and then life flighted to hours away to the hospital. He is going to be alright - no lasting problems as long as he follows orders. So this card is for him.

Tilda is colored with copics. The paper is from basic grey's june bug collection. The bird is from the basic bird stamp set by the angel company - I added the eye and wing with my wonderful drawing abilities. lol. Only paper is used - the flowers are paper stickers from the paper collection as is the "ribbon".
Here is the inside using another sticker from the collection.

I made this card for a couple of challenges.
Only paper for Magnolisious Highlights here.
And for the layout at Magnolia Lovers here.
Hope you enjoy.

Be Fabulous

I got to play with one of my new stamps today - so I tried it in a couple of different ways.

I used Be Fabulous from the Angel Company. This first one is stamped in Burnt Umber on a kraft paper and colored with prisma color pencils. The one sunflower has brown and gold ebeads on it. There are some stickles added for some glitz. The dp is from bo bunny.  A bow on the side finishes it off.

This one is colored in copic markers and the some stickles are added. The dp is from basic grey. The red above the flowers is done with the nestabilities. On the side are dew drops from Robin's Nest.

Hope you enjoyed.

Rachel's Turtle

My dd's best friend loves turtles so every year I make her a turtle card. It was definitely time for a new turtle but as it her birthday is on Friday I didn't have time to order a new stamp so off to the internet for a digi. Fortunately my friend Danni came to my rescue and found this one for me at Karen's Doodles here. She has some really cute digi turtles and other digis.

Herbert is colored with copics. Lots of different greens here. lol The icing has crystal stickles as do the flowers in the corner. The little flowers on the digi have yellow stickles on the centers.
the little tassel on the hat has liquid applique on it for a bit of texture. The dp is from basic grey. I sewed around the blue dp using a scalloped stitch. A couple different nestabilities are used here. A big bow in the corner and some dew drops finish the card off.
Have a great day.
