Asian Card

Isn't this little guy a cutie. My 2nd dd loves panda bears which is why I even have the stamp. He is stamped in black and then painted with china black twinkling H2O's (which I hear are being discontinued). The Chinese characters are stamped. I really don't know what they say. Who knows what bad things I may be saying. Probably not. The paper flowers have gold stickles for centers.

Love and laughter

I always have a hard time with these solid stamps but kept at it. At first I was going to try to add a pin with the ribbon but couldn't find anything that worked but there on my desk was the sun charm and I though why not. Then I added the brads. I applied red and pin stickles to the tree for flowers. I am trying to think spring. The paper is basic grey.

Nellie Update

This card was sitting on my desk just telling me it still needed some work so I added the ribbon and the brads. I think It looks much better now.

Nelliephants (Elephants)

Here is a cute baby card I made this evening. I stamped the three nelliephants, colored them with prisma color pencils and cut them out. I taped the string on the back and then threaded the bead on and tied a knot. I mounted the nellies on with foam tape and glued the bead on with a glue dot. The patterned paper is from basic grey.

Peacock

I just had to use this peacock again. I just love him or her. I stamped it on silver paper then black paper and painted it with pearl ex. I cut out the painted peacock and glued it to the silver paper. I added ribbon and pearls on the side and cut some hearts from the ribbon and added those to the swirls. The patterned paper is basic grey.

Moose

A rather unique birthday card for my dd's boss's birthday. The lady likes moose so I gave her a moose with flowers. The stamp is from a retired set from tac. Notice the pearly hearts for the center of the flowers.

Soot Lady

Here is another card I had published a couple of years ago in the now defunct Rubber Stamper. The image is stamped on glossy paper with versamark and then run through the smoke from a candle. The edges are actually burned. So you should do the technique near water. After you finish getting the soot on the cardstock you take a cotton ball and swirl it on the paper.

Former Lives

I just got invited to join an old army group on facebook. We lived in Germany for three years because of the army. I actually think about those times especially at Christmas when I pull out all the Christmas things we bought there. And then of course I think of it when I think of my eldest dd because she was born there.

Buttons

Here is one I did for a challenge to use buttons in a card. The pink button had a shank on it so I sent my ds down to the workroom take it off. I thought he would take some clippers and clip it off but he sanded it off. There is usually more than one way to get a job done. These snowpeople look like they are having a fun time going down the hill. I, however, am ready for the snow to be to and the weather to warm up. The groundhog seems to disagree with me though.

February

How time flies when you are having fun. It doesn't seem like it could be February already. All stamps are from tac. I really like this heart. I applied dimensional glue over the heart for a raised look that is hard to see with the scan. The background paper is from tac also.
