Sweatshirt Girl

I'm waiting for sweatshirt weather. Fall is my favorite time of the year.

All stamps are from Unity. The background was stamped first in white brilliance but that didn't show up enough so then I stamped it in a yellow oxide ink and that didn't really show up enough either and finally I tried burnt umber palette ink and that was dark enough. I used my misti so a bit of the yellow still is visible whether because the ink spread just a little or the paper shifted a bit. I stamped the girl in the yellow oxide ink as well and then did a bit of no line coloring. I think I need to practice a bit more but it isn't bad. I added the layers of other papers and put on a few sequins. I always have trouble figuring out if I put too many or not enough on. Hmm.
Hope you have a wonderful day.

Feathers

I think I'm getting on board with all the feather stamps. This has to be one of the prettiest feather stamps I've seen.

I stamped the feathers with distress oxide. The word is a die from memory box.  The layers are done with dies by my favorite things. Added some ribbon and then done.
Thanks for looking.

Bicycle Guy

You can tell I like this stamp as I used him in my last post.
I stamped this guy and then I stamped the bicycle over him. He is colored with copics. The designer paper is some old basic grey I had laying beside my paper cutter. Good to use up scraps. Added some blue drops on the top and bottom.

Here us another card using the same stamp set as the bicycle without the bicycle. lol No coloring here - I know amazing. I did add some sequins to this guy card.

Hope I provided a little inspiration for your guy cards

Fire Guy

I never have enough guy stamps so when I saw this stamp from Unity I knew I had to have him.
This is a technique from the past that I haven't used in years. I stamped him on glossy card stock using versa mark watermark stamp pad. Then I held it over a burning candle to get the soot on the card stock. When I had covered the card stock with soot I took a kleenex and wiped off the excess. You notice I even burned the edges. That's where you have to be really careful not to burn everything including your fingers and anything else. lol I added some sequins in the corners. I die cut the banner and stamped the words with the versamark and then used a cottonball and added gray chalk.

Unity Stamps

I have recently become enamored with a new to me stamp company - Unity. I'll just add some cards I have made using their stamps. My wallet isn't happy with me but my creativity is rejoicing. lol

This isn't a card but a notebook from moleskien.

cross

The stamps are from stubby stampers.

This first one was colored with prisma color pencils on a kraft card stock. The dots are perlen-pen sunny yellow. There is stardust stickles on the lilies. Layered the image on a cream cardstock and then on the patterned paper and then on the purple card.

This one is colored with copic pencils. There are stickles on the lilies again. I cut slits over and under the arms of the cross and threaded ribbon around the cross. I cut the image out and layered it on the music patterened paper then layered that on two colors of purple cardstock and then on a basic grey patterned paper and lastly on the purple card.

May you have a blessed Easter.

Bunnies X2

Spring and Easter will be here before we know it. I just received these stamps from Stubby Stampers and just had to play.  You will have to tell me which version you like better.
This one everything was stamped with silver encore and embossed with silver pearl. I love the effect. The bunnies were colored with copics and prisma color pencils. The bunnies have little pompoms from Darice.
The fern was stamped with versacolor green (I actually have 4 colors of their green lol)
The bunnies were stamped with black Memento and colored with copics and prisma color pencils. They also have the little pompoms.
I think both are cute.

Hula Hoop

I can't hula hoop to save my soul but Tilda can.

I colored Tilda on a sparkly Kraft paper with Copics and then added more color with prisma color pencils. The center of the flowers are done with a pearl pen.The dp is from Basic Grey. The one color of copics dripped out too fast as I probably overfilled it (I do that way too often). I think I added other colors so it isn't really noticeable. There are very few mistakes you can't correct. lol
The hola hoop has cotton candy stickles on it. The little bit of lace on Tilda's pant legs has frosted lace stickles.

Happy Hearts

I've had this stamp for quite a while and have had trouble using it even though I like it. Today I came up with a card I liked using it. The stamp is from Stubby Stamps.

I used my MISTI to stamp everything because I know it can be hard to get white to stamp dark enough the first time and I was right in this case. I had to reink the stamp several times before the hearts were dark enough to suit me. It also helped a lot because of the grid marks so I could get the words and the hearts straight. The white ink is versamark chalk ink. The black is black memento. The dp is from lawn fawn. The corners on the red and the patterned paper were punched. I had some 3 ply twine that I untwisted and used just one strand to wrap around the punches. The card is a red shimmery card stock.
May your Valentine's Day be filled with love.

Elephant Love

If you read my blog very often you have to know I love elephants. Well here is another one.

This little cutie is from Lawn Fawn and colored with prisma colored pencils. The hearts and the water spout are stamped with marvy ink pads. The black designer paper is from Basic Grey the blue/green was a scrap sitting in my pile. The rhinestone brads are from Target's One Spot from ages ago. The ribbon is from my stash. The card is for my youngest granddaughter for Valentine's Day.

Panda Love

My second daughter loves pandas so I have to have a few panda stamps just for her.

This stamp is from Wild Rose Studio - I love their stamps. The image is colored with copics. The decorative paper is all scraps that I found sitting by my cutter. There is quite a pile there that I need to use. The square die cuts are from die-namics. The flowers are from Prima flowers and Michael's Recollections. The brads are from several different companies. I really don't keep track of their origins.
May you have a bright and happy day!

Wild AnimalsI

I made two cards last night using a stamp set from Lawn Fawn.
This little cutie was colored with copic markers. I think I pulled the elephant off about four times before I actually got things the way I wanted it. First I decided I wanted to add the gray border but I had already stamped the words and couldn't take enough off the top and the elephant was too low to take any off the bottom so off the elephant came. Next I decided to put the ribbon behind the elephant so off she came again. Then I put the paper clip on so had to peal the elephant part way but that left part of the elephant all the way down and part of her sticking up so I pulled the rest of the elephant off and added foam tape around all the edges. I shouldn't put anything down until I'm really sure that I want to do. lol

This is two stamps - the gator and the little butterfly both colored with copics. The scalloped oval is done by using two sizes of dies so there is a frame. The green stripes are strips of paper and then a layer of washi tape over the. The gold pearls are down with a pearl pen.

Happy Stamping!

Believe in Yourself

I've had this stamp for quite a while. I thought it was a bit funny but how would I use it so I could send it to someone. Then an idea hit...
The image is from - I don't know where. lol It is colored with copic markers. The wings have cotton candy pink stickles and the crown has yellow stickles on each. The word is a die cut from memory box, I think. The sidebar is a die cut from Tim Holtz. And the believe is what made me think that the inside could say..."in yourself" or "in your decision".
What do you think would be a good saying for this image?

More Calendar Pages

I made the calendar holder by taking the back of a picture frame and applying some decorated paper that I stamped the words on. Then I applied a layer of modge podge on it to protect the paper. At the top I used my crop-a-dial and punched holes and inserted eyelets. I attach each page to the stand with rings so that I can flip each page back to view the next month's page.

Both images are from Magnolia. April uses a regular sized Tilda and May has a mini Tilda and Edwin. April uses a die from memory box and May is done with a cricut.
I am borrowing my friend's cricut. I like it but it sure has a big learning curve. Not sure if I have enough time to learn it although it is fun.
I'll share more pages as I finish them. January is the only one I need at the moment so see how far ahead of the game I am. lol

Deer

I almost made a card without any stamping. ALMOST! One little happy birthday is all I did. AMAZING! I love to stamp but this die seemed to just stand on its own.
I cut the die twice, once in green and once in brown. I then cut the deer off the tree shape and glued it on top of the green deer. The die is from memory box. The banner I did myself. Two green different colored brads hold the banner on. In the other corner are some gold pearls. I thought of adding some snow to the trees but it was late and I needed to get it out to my son, so he would receive it by his birthday on Saturday.

Calendar Jan-March

It's a new year and I need to get back to blogging. I have been doing some stamping just not posting here.
Tonight I was working on my calendar for the year. A friend lent me her Cricut so I was using it to make the shapes and frames. The stamps are mini Tildas from Magnolia and colored with prisma colored pencils.

Hopefully I'll get the rest done soon.
