Music

I used this stamp and called the image a mandolin but was told it was a guitar. That must mean the book is VERY big. I guess if you are an artist you get to take creative license with the size. :) or maybe there is just a very small instrument that looks like a guitar.
The image is colored with copics. The red dots in between the vines are red stickles. Ribbon is wrapped around the corners and a bow at the bottom. The two cream colored papers are metallic.
I might use this as a Christmas card even though it really isn't a Christmas image. The colors just seem Christmasy to me.

Another birdhouse

I decided to do another birdhouse. I miss having bird feeders now that I am in an apartment. I just haven't figured out how to easily hang and add the bird food.
The stamp is from stubby stampers and is colored with copics. The writing is my own. The dp is from bobunny. The corners are done with a mcgill punch, I believe. (I have a cat on my lap who wouldn't appreciate it if I got up and looked.) There are two rows of variegated ribbon below the writing. The red pearls are from Queen & Co.

Birdhouses

Well, I didn't do another butterfly card today. I did something that a winged creature would use - birdhouses.
This is a shaker card. The image is from stubby stampers and colored with copics. The frame is done with nestabilities and fun foam. The dp is from basic grey. The shakeables are glitter, beads (most of the rest of the jar ended up on the rug :( unfortunately), and star sequins.

Butterfly

I love butterflies. Look out I may be posting a lot of butterfly cards. lol
This is a large butterfly stamp from stubby stamps. Pretty simple card but pretty.
The image is colored with copics. I had overfilled my gray marker that I was outlining the image with and a big blob came out, hence the flower. But I like the flower. The flower is done with a prima flower with a flower brad from Target in the center. The squiggles on the top and bottom are hand drawn with a white pen. I cut the image in three pieces and layered them on a blue/gray card stock then on the purple paper.  Hope you enjoy.

Christmas is coming

Christmas is coming and I need to get some cards made so I am not racing at the last moment. I got a new poinsettia stamp from Stubby Stampers so I had to try it out. I think I like poinsettia stamps best for Christmas. I love nativity scenes but I rarely  like how they come out.
The image is colored with copics and has stickles applied over the lines. The dp is from bo bunny. The lace was more than I usually like to pay for embellishments but it was so pretty I couldn't resist. The gold dots are dew drops from Robin's Nest.

Now for the next card.
This one was embossed with Egyptian gold embossing powder and then colored with copics. The die cut around the image was done with nestabilities S5-147. It was too long for the image so I cut part of the middle out and then glued it back together so it was the right size to fit around the image. There are red nail head stickers in the corners and the center of the circle.

Fairy Circles

After two late nights at my different jobs I got to play again tonight. My daughter loves fairies so I made this card with her in mind.
I used a fairy stamp from stubby stampers here. She is colored with copics. The wings have some white stella wink covering them for some sparkle. The circle is edged with a blue versa magic chalk ink. The circles are done with nestabilities and then wrapped with silver thread in each indent. Each corner and the headdress that the fairy is wearing have holographic stickers. I debated whether she was sitting on grass or a cloud. I opted for grass but it could definitely be a cloud instead. Love stamps that are versatile.

Imagine

I got some new stamps so of course I had to play. Here is the first card.
The stamp is from stubby stampers here. The image is colored with copics. The word and the butterfly are stickers. I wrapped some ribbon around the layers of card stock. The flowers are prima and some from Michaels with dots of yellow stickles in the center. The gold scallop card stock is metallic. It is a little hard to tell from the photo.
Hope you enjoy.
