Treasure Tree

I have never used this stamp in a way that I liked before. This is the best I have come up with. All other tries have ended in the garbage. I guess the motto here is "If at first you don't succeed, try, try again."

It is an stamp set from the angel company (now out of business). The tree itself is stamped with burnt sienna palette ink and the leaves are stamped with various green versa color  inks. Everything is colored with prisma color pencils. The sky is done with blue versa magic ink. I tore a piece of paper and then used a cosmetic sponge over the edge to create a cloudy appearance.
There circle charm with a washer glued in it. The washer says treasure on it. Then there is a double sided ribbon tied around the charm loop. Here is a close-up.

The dotted paper is done by running an embossing folder with white core dcwv paper and then sanding the raised layer of dots.
Here is the inside.

I stamped leaves in all the corners.
Hope you enjoyed.

Warmest Wishes

Spring is coming. I just know it is coming. I know it is still freezing outside but spring is coming. So for spring here is a springy card.
I used the stamp set pressed flowers from Red Rubber Designs. The words are from an old angel company set. I used Versa color ink for everything except the yellow which is from Brilliance. There are brads in the middle of the two end flowers and the strip is raised with mounting tape. The dp is from basic grey.
I am entering this in Red Rubber Inspiration challenge to use two or more inks. There are six here so I think it qualifies.
Here is wishing you some warm weather along with the warm wishes.

Pug

One of my Sunday School students said today she liked pugs and wanted a couple. Her mother said, "no." I told her I would send her one. Here is the pug I am sending her.

The pug is colored with copics. Layere paper. The one is a corrugated paper by DCWV. The gray dp is from bo bunny. I don't know where the red dp is from. The twill tape had the paw prints printed on it. The button is tied with scrapper's floss. The black dots are nail head stickers.
I may have to make this card for my son-in-law as he likes pugs, too.

Bicycle Tilda

What inspires you to make a card? For me this time it was washi tape. I found some 3M washi tape at Target and knew I had to have it and what stamp I would use with it.
Tilda is colored with copic markers, a bit of white pen and some stickles. Lots of sequin flowers are used as well as glitter dots, pearls and nail head stickers. The dp is from bo bunny. The fancy frame is from nestabilities. To make the bow I tied the white ribbon around the loops and added a sequin flower.
Hope you enjoyed the card.

Just Dance

I love silhouettes so I just had to get this digi from Pickled Potpourri.
This is a pretty simple card but sometimes that is just what is needed.
The frame is from a die from memory box. I tied a couple of fibers and added those at the bottom. There are mini brads in the corners. and the corners were shaped with a punch.
That's about it but it lets the dancing girl show her stuff.

Simply Delightful

I saw this design from an Anna Griffin card and thought I would try it. Although I like it the original is prettier.

The flowers are from the stamp set Be Fabulous by Red Rubber Designs. The words are from a stamp company that went out of business recently.  If I like a stamp it doesn't matter to me but I like to mention in case anyone wants to go looking for the stamp. The flowers are from an old angel company stamp set and the words are from a cat's meow stamp set. Tilda is a mini gotten at Magnolicious. Everything is colored with copics and have some star dust stickles added. The strips of paper are woven together and notched out at the end.
Here is the inside.
The trim is some washi tape gotten at Target. You can see a bit of it on the card front as well.
I am entering this in the Dreaming of Spring Challenge over at Red Rubber Inspirations.

Mousey Valentine

I participated in a Valentine's Day swap with some mousey friends. This is the card I came up with.
I colored the house mouse with prisma colored pencils. The base of the card is a coffee cup sleeve from Target. You all know I love Target. The hearts are cut out with nestabilities. The dots around the heart are nailhead stickers and the mouse is holding a rhinestone heart. The dp is from dcwv. I traced the sleeve, cut out the dp and glued them on all sides. The bakers twine is from Target.
Here is the inside.
And here is the sleeve before it was decorated.
Hope you enjoy your Valentine's Day. I will be working at Target if you want to stop by and say hello.

Wonder Hearts

Valentine's Day will soon be here so I thought I would make a card.
The image is colored with copics. The clothes are paper pieced and shaded with copics. The heart balloon is stamped in red, cut out and the edged with a black marker and shaded with copics and glued over the smiley face balloon that is on the stamp. The ribbon was glued on top of the heart. The hearts are die cut with shapeabilites. The dots are done with a souffle pen. The flower has a little heart brad in the middle. Just thinking maybe I will put some glitter on the brad.
The stamps are from red rubber designs.
I am entering it in the heart challenge over at http://blog.red-rubber-designs.com/

Rise and Shine 2

I was making this card for a country challenge but it took way too long and the challenge closed but oh well I got the card done.

I really struggled to get this card to get it looking just right. The image is from Red Rubber Designs.
The image is colored with prisma color pencils. The sun has a button in the middle tied with some threads and stickles radiating from that. It is stamped with red from Marvy Matchables. The swirls are from a memory box die. The dotted strips are washi tape. Some of the edges are roughed up to make it look more rustic.
Here is the inside:
I did this for the challenge over at http://blog.red-rubber-designs.com/ but as I said I was too late but check out their current hearts challenge.

Motorcycle Card

A co-worker at Target wanted me to make a motorcycle card and not just any motorcycle but a Honda goldwing. Like I know what that is. :) So off to the internet I went and found a picture of one. I usually color my images but this was already colored and I figured there wasn't much chance of me finding just an image so I went with it.

I put diamond glaze over the motorcycle to make it a bit shiny although the coloring made it look shiny to begin with. The dp is from DCWV. The felt heart ribbon is from Target's One Spot Section. I glued the heart rhinestones on it. The little red dots are nailhead stickers. The saying the woman came up with and is cut out with spellbinders.
Here is the inside.
It was rather fun do make a card that is definitely not something I would usually make.
Hope you like it and I really hope my co-worker likes it.
