Magnolia-licious Christmas All Year Long Blog Hop - May Mini Tilda

I didn't get this posted this morning due to the power outage. What happened I don't know, but about 44,000 homes were without power. So glad to have it back on. My dd and I didn't know what to do with ourselves so we took a long walk and then went to bed early. I'm glad I don't have to live without electricity very often.  Anyway here is my card for today.

Tilda is celebrating with balloons. Not the usual fare for Christmas but I just got this mini Tilda and wanted to try it out. Everything is colored with copics. I stamped Tilda three times. I cut out the first one and the other two I just did the balloons.  I also stamped Tilda on the green nestabilities cut out and then adhered a colored Tilda to it. Then I added the two extra balloons and drew in the extra strings. The banner across the top was done with the computer, the shadows were done with copics. The poinsettias are from hero arts and the centers are from Robin's Nest. There is green ribbon on the side and a piece of mini rickrack from my sewing supplies. The dp is from bo bunny.
Hope you enjoyed my creation.

Magnolia-licious Christmas All Year Long Blog Hop - May

If you are here for the blog hop I am sorry but I don't have a card to share. My electricity went out while I was making my card last night and never came back on until 6:45 this morning. I will try to finish it tonight and then share. In the meantime please visit Robin's blog

Happy Anniversary

I needed an anniversary card for Sunday. A couple in our church has been married for 50 years. What a wonderful testimony to the power of love - theirs and God's. Of course I had to use a couple of Magnolia images.

I just love this couple. Everything was colored with copics. I have to say I love the way that Edwin's shirt came out. Lots of stickles everywhere. The butterfly border on the bottom was done with a die cut by memory box. The dp is basic grey.
I even decorated the inside a bit, something I rarely do.

I made this for the following challenges:
flutterby Wednesday to use butterflies and their sketch here
Magnolia-licious Challenge to use black and white and one other color here
wedding challenge at Magnolia-licious here (what is an anniversary but a wedding that has lasted.)
And for the using the sketch by Carly I entered it here.
Hope you enjoy.

Shy Edwin

Edwin is just so cute and isn't used often enough by me. I just got this one recently and finally had a moment to create. The grass has been growing so fast this spring that all I seem to do is mow it. Did God really want us to mow grass? lol

This is really a simple card. The dp is from bobunny. I stamped the image and colored him with copics and adhered him to the blue dp. Then I stamped and colored just the rose and popped it up and applied stickles. The corners are scalloped nestabiliites.  In the opposite corners are nailhead stickers. All the nestabilities have a dark blue chalk ink edged around them. A piece of ribbon and it was done - only not near that fast. I agonize over each little step.
I am posting this on the Magnolia Monday blog here
Have a great day. And I would love it if you could take a moment to leave a comment.

Birthday Mouse

I love the house mouse stamps. I don't have very many of them but they are so cute. This is another card for my dd's birthday. I send one from the church and one from me - so she gets two.

Everything is colored with copics. Stardust stickles are added on the frosting and the mouse's breath. The candle has diamond glaze on it.
I struggled over it trying to get the layers just where I wanted them and in the colors I wanted them. Then before I was finished with it I got stung by something and my hand and half my forearm swelled all up. That meant a trip to the doctor to get some meds. Such fun. It is getting better now.
Hope you enjoy the card.

Together

I love teddy bears and so does my dd. So this card is for her birthday next Sunday.

My dd is a strawberry blond so that is the color I tried to make her hair. Every thing is colored in copics. The dots in the dress are done with the colorless blender. There are dew drops from Robin's nest in the corners. Pink Stickles are in the middle of the yellow flowers and on the butterfly wings and teddy wings and stardust stickles are around the ring of flowers and the butterfly path. The edge is done with a fiskars punch. The bow is done with a bow easy. This was a little harder because I used two layers of ribbons. The dps are from bo bunny. You can get the image from stampingscrapping here.
This card is also made for the Flutterby Wednesday challenge here. You were to use three flowers, two dps and one button.
Have a great day and if you weather is like ours try and stay dry.
