Springtime

The calendar says it is spring but the weather sure doesn't. There is lots of white fluffy stuff falling from the skies. The grass is getting covered with it. I love snow but right now I was thinking how nice it would be to see green grass and buds. Oh well maybe this card will make up for it.

I used Tilda with lace jeans, Magnolia with butterfly and floral background. Everything is colored with copics. The dp is from memory box as are some of the butterflies. The corners are done with fleur-de-lis spellbinders. Lots of stickles are added. I love glitter. The twill comes with the paw prints on it. I cut the butterfly off of Magnolia and glued it onto Tilda.
Hope you enjoy this card and I hope we really do have spring soon. lol

Magnolia-licious Christmas All Year Long Blog Hop

Can you believe it is the 25th of March already. It was so pretty here today but it is supposed to get cold. BRR! Oh well spring is on the way - really. If you just happened to my blog you might want to start at the beginning of  the blog hop here.  If you came from the talented Nadyne;s blog you are on the right track. I chose Tilda with roses to use for my card today. You could really use her for almost any time of the year even though she is from a Christmas collection.

Tilda is colored with copics. Her halo has gold stickles. There are also stardust stickles for highlights around the flowers and for the twinkling of the halo. I don't remember who makes the dp. The rhinestone swirl is from Multicraft Imports. The roses in the corner were cut out using a my favorite things die cut. The felt was really a hot pink but I colored them with different red copics. The hearts were cut out with nestabilities, as was the cardstock around Tilda.
Here is what the inside looks like.
Copics used
reds : R29, R27, R24
greens: G28, G24, G22, G20
browns for hair: E35,  E34, E33
shadows: G20, Y00, C1, C3
face: E0000 E000, E00, R20

Your next stop on the trail is Robin's blog.

Hope you enjoyed my card and the hop.

Tilda with Lollipop

Don't you just love your sweets. I know I do but I gave them up for Lent in hopes of loosing some weight. Haven't lost any but haven't gained any either. But Tilda hasn't given up her lollipops.

Tilda is sitting on the lace jar with some gum drops inside. The gum drops are from a retired set by the angel company. Everything is colored with copics. The gum drops have star dust stickles as are the dots and ribbons on Tilda's dress. The jar and lollipop have diamond glaze applied. The swirl is from Tim Holtz. The flowers were done with organza ribbon. The bright pink one is done with tulle. The swirl has the stickles and their are pearls around the swirl. The dp is from the lemonade collection by basic grey. I'll be back on Friday with The Magnolia-licious Christmas All Year Long Blog Hop. Hope to see you then.

Green Tilda

My dd was home from college last week and I didn't get too much stamping done but I'm trying to get some things done even though I'm not feeling particularly well. Not sure what the problem is.  Any way you don't want to hear about my troubles.
This first card I did for the challenge at Magnolia-licious Challenge here. The card is supposed to be green. I colored Tilda with mint greens. Do you know how hard it is to find dp in mint green? At least in my stash. My greens seem to be mostly lime greens.

The heart was cut out of felt using nestabilities. I wasn't sure if my felt could be cut with them as it is a little thicker but it worked just fine. I put dots using copics around the edge of the heart. It just seemed to be too plain. I cut slits in the heart to thread the ribbon through and tie it. I used stickles around the dark edges of the dress and the white shoes. Over the shoes I put diamond glaze. The dp is basic grey from the blush collection.

Here is another card I just finished.

I just love these winged angels from Bildmalarna. I paper pieced the dress. I had colored it first and didn't like the combination so I found a dp that would go with it. The flower is done with dies from my favorite things that can be gotten here. But I just looked and didn't see this one but they have lots of other cool dies.

Have a great day.

Winged Friends

I finally got to use the Bildmalarna stamps that I bought awhile back. This is a little winged friend called my flowers. I made this card for the stamping scrapping challenge here
using this sketch

Here is what I did with it.

She is colored with copics. The dp is from basic grey's two scoops collection. A few stickles are added here and there. The border punch is from fiskars.
Hope you enjoy this card.

Peace Be Still & Fibi & Lily

I have two cards to share with you today. My dd is home on spring break so it took me a while to get these finished. The first one is from the stamp set Peace Be Still by the angel company.

The image is colored with copics. Stickles were applied to the water. The birds were marked with a souffle pen and the postmark has diamond glaze. The clouds were done by tearing a piece of paper and then marking off the paper with a sponge and ink. The dp is from basic grey. The blue and white paper I did by doodling with a white pen.

The ribbon color is not true to life at all. It is an iridescent color nearer to the blue kitty's dress. The flowers were done with die cuts from my favorite stamps here. The image is colored with copics.

Hope you enjoyed these cards. I always love to read your comments.

Fibi

I am on a roll. I made another card tonight. I haven't done this in a long time. I had gotten this stamps set before Christmas but just never had a chance to use it - so tonight was the night.

This pretty kitty is from the stamp set Fibi and Lilly by the angel company. She is colored with copics. The center of the flower has clear microbeads on it. The circle is from the stamp set all occasion circles. and the words from the retired set rose sentiments. The dp is from basic grey. Around the edge of the dp is lines using a souffle pen. It doesn't show up too well even in person let alone in the photo. I didn't want the card too frilly because it is going to a guy. He is a vet and has a cat. He was just super today and I wanted to thank him. Thank you for visiting.

Peace Be Still

Amazingly I used another stamp besides a Magnolia. I used a stamp from the stamp set Peace Be Still by the angel company. Another wowzer is I used my color pencils and not my copics. It is fun to use different things sometimes.

I used some ultra fine citrus flower soft on the trees to make it look a bit like spring and some ultra fine sand flower soft on the sand (well what else). I used my score-it-all to make the creases near the bottom. I looked and looked for my stapler to staple the ribbon but couldn't find it. Maybe the cats took off with it. I did find a  mini green stapler and staples from Target way back when and used it. The image was stamped using burnt umber Palette ink. The edges were done with hint of pesto Versa magic chalk ink.

Oh and here is tonight's dinner I made for myself. I don't often cook just for me. It is potato soup.
Have a  great evening.
