Graduation Cards

Here are a couple of graduation cards I made this evening. They both use all the same elements just arranged a bit differently. The mortar board is a punch. Although it is a bit hard to tell the dp has mortar boards and diplomas on it. The navy paper is a metallic. I sewed the one mortar board on the bow, the other is just glued on.

Dogs

I haven't had a chance to stamp in just forever it seems. My oldest got her masters so I went to see the graduation and then this weekend my ds received his Eagle Scout award so we had a reception following it. This morning I actually was able to get into my studio to create a card. The challenge was to do an animal card. As I love dogs I chose to do a dog. The stamp is a retired one from the angel company. I colored him with copics and then the eyes and outlining with prisma color pencils. I added a touch of white in the eyes and nose with a white pen. His collar is floss with a charm from blue moon.

Lighthouse Slide Mailer

Wow! It's been since forever since I posted something. I still haven't been in my studio to create. Life has been very busy. I went this last weekend to see my dd get her masters. Anyway here is a slide mailer I created for Rubber Road Adventures. These little workhorses for the scientific field are great for making little beauties for the paper crafter. I stamped and glittered and added little jewelry finds and real shells on the inside. I used Scrabble pieces on the outside. Check out Rubber Road Adventures for the tutorial. The one for my butterfly slide mailer is finally up also. Elizabeth has been doing a lot of work to get this ezine up and ready. What a wonderful job she is doing.

Cookies and cream

I got this cup stamp from www.susanascustomartandcarddesign.com as a thank you for ordering. Isn't it cool. I love hot chocolate and what is hot chocolate without a dollop of whip cream. I used Scribbles paint for the the whip cream. Most of the cookies and cup were colored with copics and a bit of prisma color pencils. I am really getting into the copics. For the background I stamped a swirl from the angel company with versa mark then used the brayer inked with kaleidacolor blue breeze in a half circle. The drops are from The Robin's Nest. The heart is another little goodie from www.susanascustomartandcarddesign.com. The punch along the bottom is from fiskars.

Beary Happy

It's my youngest daughter's birthday today. She's 17. I can't imagine where the time has gone. She loves teddy bears. Her favorite color is green but it used to be purple. Actually it is a color challenge on rubber road adventures so I thought it would be perfect for her. The stamp is from the angel company. Bear is colored with prisma color pencils then I added some flower soft and then some glitter for the teddy to walk in. The buttons are tied with floss. The green strips are ribbon.

Love and laughter again

I'm really having a good time with this stamp set from the angel company. I stamped the tree in a brown hybrid palette ink and then added heather flower soft with diamond glaze. I punched out a pink circle and then punched holes in each scallop. I also cut out a brown circle to layer the tree on. I stamped the words on a rectangular paper and then used a corner punch to make the edges rounded. I added the pearl bella baubbles for an extra accent. The patterned paper is from basic grey. Oh and I colored the butterflies with prisma color pencils.

Sea Stamp 2

The challenge was to use micro beads. The top swirl has clear microbeads and the bottom swirl has pearl microbeads. In the grass there are both the pearl and the clear. Over the writing is just the clear beads. The stamp is from the angel company. The patterned paper is all basic grey. I used some pearl dew drops on the bottom and some colored ones on the top. The image is colored with pencils.
